fix(providers): retire common ChatGPT Web provider (#11754)
Rebased onto the current release/v3.8.51 tip as part of a combined provider-retirement/provenance merge batch (Designer Web, Felo Web, Runtime, GPL-derived removal, Qwen Web already landed). Large conflict set (this is the biggest PR in the batch — the common ChatGPT Web provider touches chat, images, count-tokens, session leases, and combos). Conflicts resolved: - `open-sse/config/providers/registry/chatgpt-web/*`, `open-sse/executors/chatgpt-web*`, `open-sse/handlers/imageGeneration/providers/chatgptWeb.ts`, and their tests: kept deleted, matching the PR's stated scope. - `open-sse/config/providers/registry/minimax/web/index.ts`, `open-sse/handlers/imageGeneration/providers/geminiWeb.ts`, `open-sse/executors/gemini-web.ts`'s stale image-mode branch: base-drift collisions against already-merged sibling retirements (#11691, #11708) — kept deleted / dropped the dead code, since this PR's own branch forked before those merged. - `src/shared/constants/reservedProviderPrefixes.ts`, `open-sse/executors/index.ts`, `executorProxy.ts`, `virtualFactory.ts`, `autoStrategy.ts`, `src/lib/db/providers.ts`, `src/sse/handlers/chat.ts`: combined the Designer + Runtime (Felo/Qwen) + common-ChatGPT-Web retirement guard calls at each shared chokepoint — compute-once-then-OR pattern, consistent with prior combinations in this batch. - `src/sse/services/model.ts` / `src/sse/handlers/chatHelpers.ts`: adopted this PR's new `getModelInfoOrRetirementResponse()` central wrapper (a real improvement over ad-hoc try/catch), and extended it to also catch the Designer + Runtime retirement errors it didn't originally cover, so the consolidation doesn't regress the other two mechanisms. - `src/app/api/v1/images/edits/route.ts`: this PR moved the retirement check earlier (before `enforceApiKeyPolicy`) but left the old later call+catch block in place from base drift — removed the now-redundant duplicate `resolveImageRouteModel()` call and merged the Designer catch into the earlier one. - `open-sse/config/imageRegistry.ts`, `tests/snapshots/executors/executor-map.json` (`keyCount` recomputed to 133), `tests/snapshots/provider/translate-path.json`: same "both sides inserted a different retired provider at the same slot" pattern — resolved by dropping both. - `tests/unit/chatcore-executor-proxy.test.ts`, `provider-node-reserved-prefix.test.ts`, `combo-auto-candidate-expansion.test.ts`, `messages-count-tokens-route.test.ts`, `virtual-auto-combo.test.ts`: split into independent per-mechanism test blocks (established pattern); `virtual-auto-combo.test.ts`'s old "includes cookie web-session providers" positive-inclusion test (which used chatgpt-web as its example) was retired along with the provider and replaced by this PR's negative-exclusion test for the same slot. - `docs/architecture/ARCHITECTURE.md`, `CODEBASE_DOCUMENTATION.md` (+ 4 i18n mirrors), `README.md`, `FREE-TIERS-GUIDE.md`, `docs/diagrams/free-tier-budget.svg`, `docs/screenshots/free-tier-budget-card.svg`, `docs/reference/PROVIDER_REFERENCE.md`: recomputed every stale count from the real merged state — 104 executors (`countFiles` gate logic), 351 providers (regenerated via `gen:provider-reference`), 152/351 `hasFree` entries, 445/438/7 free-tier catalog rows, 13 ToS-avoid providers, budget-card regenerated via its real generator script. One doc conflict (`oauth/` module list) needed picking HEAD's side specifically — theirs still listed the already-removed `raycast` module instead of the real `openference`. - `config/quality/test-masking-allowlist.json`: additive merge of the PR's 17 `_deletedWithReplacement` entries alongside the batch's existing ones (one real duplicate-key mistake in my first pass, caught and fixed via a `object_pairs_hook` duplicate-key check before finalizing). Also fixed two real, unrelated-to-my-merge issues surfaced by the focused suite: - `tests/unit/resolve-web-provider-host.test.ts`: the PR's own test had a typo — it asserted `perplexity-web`'s resolved host as `"perplexity.ai"`, but the provider's registered `website` is `"https://www.perplexity.ai"` and the resolver returns the URL's `host` verbatim (no www-stripping), so the correct value is `"www.perplexity.ai"` (consistent with the same test's own `url` assertion). - `tests/unit/hard-session-lease-bypass-inventory.test.ts`: this golden call-site inventory was already stale on the pristine post-#11713 tip (confirmed via a throwaway probe worktree) — `src/lib/db/providers.ts`'s 3 connection-fallback sites and a third `src/app/api/providers/route.ts` site were never added to the golden list by the earlier-merged #11698/#11720 PRs. Updated it to the real current inventory (dated inline comments explain each delta and which PR introduced it), plus this PR's own legitimate deltas (image-edits duplicate-call removal, `ChatGptWebExecutor.execute()` site removed). Focused suite green (433/433 across executor-proxy, reserved-prefix, hard-session-lease-bypass-inventory, resolve-web-provider-host, retirement/runtime-block/source-retirement/management-retirement/image-handler-retirement, migration-168, combo-auto-candidate-expansion, virtual-auto-combo, executor-map-golden and siblings), plus `typecheck:core`, `check-file-size`, and `check-changelog-integrity` clean. Rebased onto the current release/v3.8.51 tip as part of a combined provider-retirement/provenance merge batch (Designer Web, Felo Web, Runtime, GPL-derived removal all landed together already). Conflicts resolved: - `src/shared/constants/providerRetirement.ts`: add/add conflict — combined `felo-web`/`felo` (already-merged) with `qwen-web`/`qw` into one `RUNTIME_RETIRED_PROVIDER_IDS` set, kept both `assertRuntimeProviderAvailable`/`assertRuntimeModelProviderAvailable` helpers. - `open-sse/config/providers/registry/minimax/web/index.ts`: modify/delete — kept deleted (file is hailuo-web's registry entry, already retired by #11691; this PR's own change to it was just a comment reword on a since-removed target). - `open-sse/executors/index.ts`, `executorProxy.ts`, `virtualFactory.ts`, `autoStrategy.ts`, `model.ts`, `chat.ts`, `chatHelpers.ts`, `auth.ts`, `src/lib/db/providers.ts`, `reservedProviderPrefixes.ts`: combined the Designer + Runtime (Felo + Qwen) retirement guard calls at each shared chokepoint — compute-once-then-OR pattern, consistent with the prior Designer+Felo combination. - `src/shared/constants/providers/web-cookie.ts`, `tests/snapshots/provider/translate-path.json`, `tests/snapshots/executors/executor-map.json`: both sides had inserted a different retired provider (qwen-web vs. already-retired raycast/hailuo-web) at the same dict position — resolved by dropping both. `executor-map.json`'s `keyCount` recomputed to 135 (matches actual merged `entries`). - `tests/unit/chatcore-executor-proxy.test.ts`, `tests/unit/provider-node-reserved-prefix.test.ts`: split into independent Felo/Qwen test blocks (established pattern for coexisting retirement-mechanism tests); recomputed `RESERVED_PREFIX_COUNT` to 398 (Designer+Felo+Qwen tombstones on top of the post-#11691 REGISTRY, verified via direct module evaluation, not hand-derived). - `config/quality/test-masking-allowlist.json`: additive merge of Qwen's `_deletedWithReplacement` entries alongside Designer's. - `README.md` + all `docs/i18n/*/README.md` mirrors, `docs/getting-started/FREE-TIERS-GUIDE.md`, `docs/reference/FREE_TIERS.md`, `docs/diagrams/free-tier-budget.svg`, `docs/screenshots/free-tier-budget-card.svg`: recomputed the free-tier catalog counts (447 entries / 440 active / 7 discontinued) from the actual merged `freeModelCatalog.data.ts`, regenerated the budget-card SVG via its real generator (`scripts/research/gen-budget-card-svg.mjs`), and dropped the retired Qwen quick-start row / QWEN MODELS section from every i18n README (identical unlocalized block across all 34 locales). - Also fixed a duplicate-import merge artifact in `src/lib/db/providers.ts` (`isRuntimeRetiredProviderId` imported twice) caught by `typecheck:core`, and rebaselined `file-size-baseline.json` for the combined retirement-guard growth (`virtualFactory.ts` +3, with justification). Focused suite green (345/345 across executor-proxy, reserved-prefix, migration-167, qwen-web-retirement, virtual-auto-combo, web-cookie/session, executor-map-golden and siblings), plus `typecheck:core` and `check-file-size`/`check-changelog-integrity` clean. Conflicts resolved: - `config/quality/test-masking-allowlist.json`: additive merge of the Hailuo-Web/Raycast-auth/Raycast-local-extract entries alongside prior sibling retirement entries. - `docs/reference/PROVIDER_REFERENCE.md`: kept the branch's generated content (deferred to a future `npm run gen:provider-reference` regeneration pass). - `src/app/api/providers/[id]/test/webSessionTestDispatch.ts`: comment-only, dropped stale retired-provider examples. - `tests/snapshots/executors/executor-map.json`: recomputed `keyCount` to 137 (matches the actual merged `entries` object). - `tests/unit/provider-test-token-web-session-dispatch.test.ts`: kept both sibling assertions (hailuo-web + t3-chat-web), avoided duplicating the dedicated microsoft-designer-web test already present. chore(providers): retire Felo Web on provenance hold (#11698)
Merged via /merge-batch (v3.8.51 provenance sweep). Boarded and validated together with the batch's other retirement PRs in a combined worktree — full gate suite green. This PR's conflicts (against #11720's Designer retirement, both introducing a retirement-guard mechanism across executors/index.ts, executorProxy.ts, providers.ts, reservedProviderPrefixes.ts, auth.ts, chat.ts, chatHelpers.ts, model.ts) were reconciled by combining both guards at every chokepoint, with the shared reserved-prefix count recomputed (not guessed) at 400. Re-validated with this PR's own 72 node:test + 20 vitest focused tests, all passing, and pushed before merge. Thank you. |

Validated on the combined batch board + this branch: codex-app-server + codex-gpt56-catalog 25/25, typecheck:core clean, docs-counts green (351 providers), provider-consistency 268/351/0. The opt-in codex-app-server transport (JSON-RPC-over-WS, turn/completed-awaited close, Responses SSE bridge) leaves the default codex path untouched. feat(providers): implement native support for Freebuff AI gateway (#6793) (#10531)
Adds native support for Freebuff (Codebuff CLI free-tier gateway): executor with upstream session acquisition, agent-run lifecycle (START/FINISH), canonical system-prompt injection, and model→agent mapping for 9 free models; registry entry, dashboard branding/icons, and API-key validation. Closes #6793. Validated in an isolated worktree boarded onto origin/release/v3.8.50 (0 conflicts after resolving generated provider-count drift, 15 files): - 9/9 focused tests pass (freebuff-provider, providers-constants-split). - Dropped one out-of-scope, unrelated hunk in scripts/build/build-next-isolated.mjs (build-memory heap tuning) that had nothing to do with the Freebuff provider — kept the branch scoped to its stated purpose. - check-changelog-integrity: OK. - file-size: gateways.ts and AddApiKeyModal.tsx crossed the frozen cap by +15/+5 lines (irreducible catalog-entry + credential-hint additions) — rebaselined with justification, pushed fix-in-place to the PR branch. - typecheck:core: clean. - check-complexity / check-cognitive-complexity: OK, both under baseline. fix(providers): rename Freepik slug to Magnific and validate Magnific API keys (#10594)
Canonical provider id renamed freepik → magnific (Magnific Mystic official API), with a permanent redirect + runtime alias so old freepik/<model> traffic and /dashboard/providers/freepik URLs keep working. Existing provider=freepik connection rows are rewritten to magnific by migration 160. Closes #10604. Validated in an isolated worktree boarded onto origin/release/v3.8.50 (0 conflicts, 138 files): - Focused suite: 54/54 tests pass (magnific-image-handler, provider-validation-image-only, provider-alias-uniqueness, redirects-cli-renames). - check-file-size, check-changelog-integrity: OK. - typecheck:core: clean. - check-complexity / check-cognitive-complexity: OK, both under baseline. refactor(sse): ExecutorRegistry — route executor lookup through a runtime registry (R0.3) (#10633)
* test(sse): golden characterization of the executor map before the R0.3 registry refactor Freezes the 137-entry provider-id → executor mapping (class, provider identity, backing PROVIDERS config), the no-shared-instances invariant, and the getExecutor() dispatch rules (memoized DefaultExecutor fallback, cloud-agent guard #6699, search-provider guard #10274) as stable JSON snapshots. The upcoming ExecutorRegistry must keep both snapshots byte-identical. * refactor(sse): route executor lookup through ExecutorRegistry (R0.3) Adds open-sse/executors/registry.ts (Map-based registry mirroring translator/registry.ts): the built-in table in executors/index.ts stays declarative, every entry is registered at module load, and getExecutor()/hasSpecializedExecutor() resolve through the registry. DefaultExecutor fallback, its memoization, and the cloud-agent (#6699) / search-provider (#10274) guards are unchanged. Also fixes a latent lookup leak: the old object-literal lookup treated Object.prototype names (constructor, toString, ...) as specialized executors; the Map registry resolves them to the DefaultExecutor fallback like any unknown provider. Parity proof: executor-map golden (137 entries, byte-identical before/after), check:known-symbols green, 1018 tests across the 65 executor test files green. Docs: OPEN_SSE_ARCHITECTURE factory section corrected (it claimed generation from providerRegistry). * feat(providers): add Cloudflare AI Playground as No Auth provider (closes #10389) Reverse-engineered access to the free, anonymous Cloudflare AI Playground: chat runs over a PartySocket WebSocket speaking Cloudflare's cf_agent RPC protocol with zero credentials (no account, no API key, no cookies). The WS upgrade is gated on a browser-grade TLS fingerprint, so the executor drives a headless Chromium via Playwright and speaks the protocol from inside the page context. - registry entry: cloudflare-playground (alias cfp), authType none, curated 20-model catalog (GLM 5.2, Kimi K2.7 Code, DeepSeek V4 Pro, gpt-oss-120B, Llama 3.3 70B, Qwen2.5 Coder 32B, ...) captured from the live getModels RPC (2026-08-15) - executor: cf_agent frame stream -> OpenAI SSE translation, id-filtered parser (RPC done:true frames cannot kill the stream), in-band upstream errors mapped to HTTP 429/502, abort + timeout handling, clean errors - noauth UI entry with reverse-engineered-endpoint notice - tests: 12 unit tests using real captured frames (incl. the 3021 rate-limit error) + fake transport; ESLint clean; open-sse typecheck clean * fix(providers): define __name helper in page context before evaluate Bundlers with keepNames (esbuild/tsx, webpack) inject a __name() call into serialized function bodies. page.evaluate(openPlaygroundSession) therefore threw ReferenceError: __name is not defined in real browser sessions. Define the helper on window before evaluating the session opener. * fix(providers): sync docs counts, golden snapshots and add reasoning_content support for cloudflare-playground * chore: remove ad-hoc cfp-shim debug script per review feedback The standalone shim duplicated the executor's frame-parsing and transport logic and is superseded by open-sse/executors/cloudflare-playground.ts. Requested in PR #10442 review. * feat(gemini-web): expose image generation through /v1/images/generations (closes #10466) Adds a gemini-web image-generation path following the chatgpt-web precedent: - imageRegistry: gemini-web provider entry (format gemini-web, cookie auth) with the nano-banana-web model. The -web suffix keeps the bare nano-banana id owned by adobe-firefly (operator decision 2026-07-31). - gemini-web executor: new parseStreamResponseImages() extracts generated image URLs from the StreamGenerate candidate extension block (inner[4][0][12][7][0], url at entry[0][3][3] — string or list form), dedupes cumulative frames, upgrades to =s2048, and deliberately skips web-search thumbnails at [12][1]. Image mode (x_gemini_web_image_mode) captures every StreamGenerate frame, resolves on first image, and gets a 90s window; chat mode is byte-for-byte unchanged. - handlers/imageGeneration/providers/geminiWeb.ts: drives the executor in image mode with an explicit generation directive prompt (the web UI otherwise answers with web-search images), caps n at 4, returns URLs or b64_json (downloads the public googleusercontent asset), and surfaces refusal text when no image was produced. - Dispatch branch on format gemini-web in handleImageGeneration. Tests: 21 new tests with fixtures built from the documented frame layout (string/list url forms, cumulative-frame dedupe, web-image exclusion, size-directive handling, refusal visibility, n-cap, b64_json, registry wiring incl. the bare nano-banana → adobe-firefly regression guard). Adjacent suites: gemini-web (6 files), chatgpt-web image, image handler, route, registry, adobe-firefly, freepik, designer — all green. ESLint clean on touched files (2 pre-existing any warnings unchanged); tsc -p open-sse 0 errors. * fix(media): close browser leak, surface timeout errors, and fall back accounts for gemini-web images Addresses pre-merge review findings on #10494 (closes #10466): - cloudflare-playground executor: close the launched browser on EVERY non-success start() path, including the detected Cloudflare "Attention Required" challenge branch (was leaking a Chromium process per blocked request). - cloudflare-playground executor: a streaming chat timeout now emits an explicit timeout_error SSE chunk before [DONE] instead of silently completing, so a client can no longer mistake an empty/partial timed-out stream for a successful answer. Timeout duration is now injectable for deterministic tests. - gemini-web image handler + imageCredentialRetry: classify the underlying GeminiWebExecutor's expired/blocked-session failure modes (400/500, per its own Playwright timeout/catch-all branches) as retryable, so executeImageWithCredentialFallback advances to the next eligible account instead of only doing so on a plain 401. Fix: - docs/reference/PROVIDER_REFERENCE.md: regenerated via `npm run gen:provider-reference`. - README.md/AGENTS.md/llm.txt/package.json description: 341 -> 342. - docs/diagrams/{readme-hero,promise-pillars,comparison-table,cli-terminal}.svg: 341 -> 342 in the embedded "NNN providers" text (targeted replace, matched against the exact pattern check-docs-counts-sync.mjs validates). check:docs-counts-sync and check:changelog-integrity are both clean after this commit. Conol ignores agentModel/agentEffort on POST /api/sessions, so every
session silently ran on the downgraded account default (the create
response reports modelDowngraded: true / effectiveModel).
Sessions are now created empty and configured out-of-band against
POST /api/sessions/{id}/model before the first turn is submitted, in the
order the web client uses: modelPreset, then agentModel, then agentEffort.
The ordering is load-bearing because the model call resets agentEffort to
null server-side.
Effort now defaults to xhigh when the caller does not pin one via the
-<effort> model suffix, and is clamped onto the ladder each model actually
advertises, so xhigh degrades to high on claude-sonnet-5 and is skipped
entirely for models without an effort ladder such as openrouter/fusion.
Model and effort are also dropped from the session binding key so switching
models re-pins the existing session instead of stranding it and losing the
conversation history. Re-pinning only happens on an actual change, so
steady-state follow-ups cost no extra round trips.

* fix(sse): apply Azure request-param rules on the azure-ai wire path
Azure rejects several stock Chat Completions params on its newer deployments
and returns HTTP 400 rather than ignoring them:
max_tokens -> 'max_tokens' is not supported with this model.
Use 'max_completion_tokens' instead.
reasoning_effort -> Function tools with reasoning_effort are not supported.
Those rules lived inline in AzureOpenAIExecutor, so they only covered the
azure-openai provider. azure-ai (Azure AI Foundry) had no executor entry and
fell through to the bare DefaultExecutor, so the SAME Azure deployment
succeeded on one connection and 400'd on the other. Every agentic client sends
tools on every turn, so azure-ai failed on the first request.
Extract the rules to open-sse/executors/azureParamRules.ts, add an
AzureAiExecutor that inherits DefaultExecutor's azure-ai URL/header/apiType
handling unchanged and applies the shared rules, and register it for azure-ai.
Also widen the deployment pattern to cover gpt-chat-latest: it is a moving
alias that resolves to a GPT-5-era model and rejects max_tokens, but carries no
version number for the token-boundary pattern to key on. Verified against the
base regex - gpt-chat-latest did not match, which is exactly the observed 400.
Regression guard: tests/unit/azure-param-rules.test.ts, including an assertion
that getExecutor("azure-ai") no longer resolves to a bare DefaultExecutor.
* fix(sse): clamp Azure gpt-4o-mini completion tokens to its 16384 ceiling
Azure gpt-4o-mini deployments accept at most 16384 completion tokens and 400 on
anything larger:
max_tokens is too large: 32000. This model supports at most 16384 completion
tokens, whereas you provided 32000.
The 32000 is OmniRoute's own doing: adjustMaxTokens raises any smaller
max_tokens to DEFAULT_MIN_TOKENS (32000) whenever tools are present, to avoid
truncated tool arguments. That floor has no upper bound, so an agentic client
asking for far less still trips the model ceiling on its first turn.
Add scoped maxOutputCap rules in paramSupport.ts for both Azure wire paths.
PROVIDER_MAX_TOKENS is the wrong lever here - it is provider-wide, and the same
Azure resource also serves GPT-5 deployments with a much higher ceiling.
Regression guard: tests/unit/azure-max-output-clamp.test.ts, which also pins
that the clamp does not leak to gpt-5.1 or to gpt-4o-mini on other providers.

- Replaces the 11 `@typescript-eslint/no-explicit-any` casts in
tests/unit/adobe-firefly.test.ts with concrete types
(Record<string, unknown>, Headers, Error-narrowing on the
assert.rejects predicate), matching the pattern already used
elsewhere in this suite. `no-explicit-any` is a hard ESLint error
under tests/ in this repo.
- Freezes file-size baseline entries for the new
open-sse/services/adobeFireflyClient.ts (1958 LOC, new-file cap 800,
mirrors the qoderCli.ts precedent for a legitimately large new
provider client), open-sse/config/imageRegistry.ts (800->821, new
adobe-firefly registry entry) and the +3 LOC growth in
src/lib/usage/providerLimits.ts (1000->1003).

- SSE parse of text/session_start/session_end/done events
- Multi-turn sticky threadId + sessionId cache (history prefix + last assistant)

- Hardcoded catalog from SPA pricing map
- Pretty display names (Claude Fable 5) while wire modelId stays fable etc.
- /v1/models exposes pretty name; chat uses modelId

feat(providers): add hailuo-web (MiniMax web) chat provider (#6673) (#7734)
Adds hailuo-web as a new free web-cookie chat provider targeting the
MiniMax consumer chat product at hailuo.ai (chat.minimax.io), distinct
from the existing paid API-key minimax/minimax-cn providers.
Ported from the g4f reference implementation
(g4f/Provider/needs_auth/mini_max/{HailuoAI,crypt}.py):
- MD5-chain request signing (generate_yy_header/get_body_to_yy)
- Custom event:/data: SSE parsing (send_result/message_result/close_chunk),
where message_result.content is a cumulative snapshot diffed into deltas
- Device-fingerprint query params, derived deterministically per-connection
from the token when the user hasn't captured the real browser values
New catalog entry, executor, registry entry, dispatch wiring, tests
(17 cases covering signing test vectors independently verified via
Python hashlib.md5, SSE parsing, streaming/non-streaming dispatch, and
401-terminal vs 429-transient error mapping), and a regenerated
provider-translate-path golden snapshot (purely additive diff).

fix: repair pre-existing red gates on the release/v3.8.49 tip (#8055)
* fix(dashboard): resolve Kimi banner casing collision + shrink frozen test file (release tip) - Rename src/app/(dashboard)/dashboard/kimiSponsorBanner.ts to kimiSponsorBannerGate.ts so it no longer differs from KimiSponsorBanner.tsx only by the first letter's case (breaks next build on case-insensitive filesystems). Updates the sole importer (KimiSponsorBanner.tsx) and the two tests that reference it. - Extract the 8 Kimi/Moonshot featured-ordering tests out of the frozen tests/unit/providers-page-utils.test.ts (grown 3 lines past its 1294 cap by #8039's rebrand-comment update) into a new sibling file tests/unit/providers-page-utils-kimi.test.ts. No assertions dropped; both files pass in full (24 + 8 = 32 tests). * fix(sse): register PromptQlExecutor in the executor registry (release tip) getExecutor("promptql") had no entry in open-sse/executors/index.ts, so it silently fell through to DefaultExecutor's provider fallback, which issues a raw fetch() and returns the bare upstream Response instead of the executor wrapper shape {response, url, headers, transformedBody}. Diffed old vs new — zero providers removed, 5 added (ainative/aion/nara/routeway/sealion, matching #7887), and the only changed entry (cline) reflects the already-merged #7914 ClinePass header protocol change (Cline/<version> User-Agent + X-Task-ID) that a prior narrow golden touch-up missed capturing. * fix(docs): repair docs-sync/env-sync/repo-contract gates (release tip) Six pre-existing reds on release/v3.8.49, all "repo drifted from its own documented contract": - check-docs-counts-sync: free-tier headline was stale (~1.4B/~2.0B) vs the live catalog (~1.53B steady / ~2.15B first month, 43 pools). Updated README.md and docs/reference/FREE_TIERS.md to the live numbers and added a v3.8.49 correction note explaining the pool-count delta (39->43, #7840). Added to .env.example and docs/reference/ENVIRONMENT.md. - check-db-rules: src/lib/db/proxySubscriptions.ts (#7299) is a db-internal split of proxies.ts (kept under the frozen file-size cap) whose one export is already re-exported via proxies.ts -> localDb.ts. Added it to INTENTIONALLY_INTERNAL with the same db-internal justification used for identical split modules (apiKeyColumnFallbacks, providerNodeSelect, webSessionDedup) rather than a redundant direct re-export from localDb.ts. - mcp-server-hollow-dist-deps: the sanity test expected better-sqlite3 among the MCP bundle's static top-level external imports. That's been stale since the pre-#7878 migration to a cascading SqliteAdapter driver factory (createRequire()-based lazy require, not a static import); better-sqlite3 already has its own native-asset copy guarantee in assembleStandalone.mjs, unrelated to this test's EXTRA_MODULE_ENTRIES concern. Updated the assertion to a still-genuinely-static external (zod) with a comment explaining the change. No production runtime behavior changed — docs, .env.example, and a checker allowlist/test-expectation only. * fix(dashboard): repair stale UI component-shape test assertions (release tip) Two pre-existing reds in the dashboard UI component-contract cluster were caused by test assertions that had gone stale after intentional, correct refactors — not by real defects in the components: - quota-pool-wizard-multi.test.ts: the step-3 preview assertion required the literal single-line substring "connectionIds.map((cid)". Prettier (100-char width, project config) legitimately breaks the connectionIds.map(...).filter(...) chain across lines because of the multi-line callback body, so the literal never matches. PoolWizard.tsx still builds previewByProvider correctly by mapping over connectionIds; updated the assertion to a regex that tolerates the line break. - v388-phase1-screen-fixes.test.ts: the shared Select placeholder-guard assertion required the literal "!children && placeholder". An earlier, intentional i18n commit changed the hardcoded "Select an option" default to a translated fallback (`placeholder ?? t("selectOption")`), which requires parens around the ?? expression for operator precedence. The guard behavior is unchanged (still gated on !children); updated the assertion to match the current, correct guard shape. Both fixes are read-only test-file changes; no production behavior changed. review-reviews-v3814-fixes.test.ts still has one pre-existing, unrelated red (LEDGER-4: minimax-m3 registry entries missing supportsVision) that requires editing the promptql provider registry/catalog — out of this cluster's scope, left untouched and reported separately. * fix(providers): reconcile cline catalog contradictions + deterministic golden (release tip) The first tip-green pass introduced 3 regressions caught by CI on sibling guard tests: - clinepass-provider + cline-catalog-models-3321 encoded OPPOSITE expectations of the same cline model list (minimax presence, nvidia :free suffix). Reference upstream (OpenRouter free lineup) confirms nvidia/nemotron-3-ultra-550b-a55b:free (with :free, 1M ctx) is correct, so restore that id and fix #3321's stale no-:free assertion; add minimax/minimax-m3 (the real #3321 gap) to clinepass-provider's list. - check-db-rules-classification froze INTENTIONALLY_INTERNAL at 35; proxySubscriptions was the intentional 36th entry — add it + bump the count. - provider-translate-path golden stored a LITERAL Cline/3.8.49: clineAuth resolves the version from APP_CONFIG.version (stable), but the golden sanitizer collapsed only process.env.npm_package_version (unset under `node`, set under `npm run`) — so the golden was shard-dependent. Resolve APP_VERSION from APP_CONFIG.version like clineAuth and regenerate; now Cline/<APP> normalizes identically in every shard. * fix(services): type execFile signal/killed in classifyError + ratchet dashboard baseline (release tip) Pre-existing base-red on the tip's Fast Quality Gates (dashboard-typecheck), missed in the first inventory: - src/lib/services/installers/utils.ts TS2339 — `err.signal` was read off a value typed as NodeJS.ErrnoException, which @types/node does not declare `signal`/`killed` on (those belong to execFile's ExecFileException). Widen classifyError's param to type both, and drop the now-redundant `(err as … { killed })` cast. - Ratchet config/quality/dashboard-typecheck-baseline.json down: 5 baselined errors were fixed by already-merged PRs but never ratcheted (OAuthModal TS2769 4→3 / TS2345 4→3, CliproxyModelMappingEditor TS2339, CompressionPreviewAccordion TS4104, MonacoEditor TS2307). Baseline now 254, matching live — gate exits 0. |

Add GHE Copilot registry entry (executor: "ghe-copilot") so the
provider is resolvable by the API routes and gets the same model
catalog as github Copilot.

- Add gheCopilot OAuth provider (device-code flow targeting GHE host)
- Register in OAuth PROVIDERS map
- Thread gheUrl from query param → device-code request → poll →

- Restore corrupted src/lib/oauth/providers/github.ts from HEAD
* feat: add ghe-copilot device-code UI with gheUrl input
- Route ghe-copilot through the device-code OAuth branch (was falling
through to browser OAuth → "Browser OAuth unavailable" error)
- Add a gheUrl collection step so the enterprise host is supplied before
the device-code request, and thread it into /device-code + /poll
* fix: thread gheUrl through GHE Copilot pollToken + postExchange
pollToken read gheUrl from config (GITHUB_CONFIG, which has none) and
threw "gheUrl is required" on every poll — the connection hung forever
after device authorization. Now reads gheUrl from extraData (passed by
the route), and postExchange carries it forward into mapTokens so it is
persisted in providerSpecificData for the executor.
* fix: GHE Copilot chat routing + account test
- Capture endpoints.proxy from the GHE token response and store it as
copilotProxyUrl; route chat/responses traffic to that enterprise host
instead of the static gheUrl/chat/completions path (was 406/404).
- Always route GHE Copilot to /chat/completions (GHE proxy 404s on
/responses); the Responses API is served via the chat transformer.
- Strip the ghe-copilot/ prefix from the upstream model id.
- Remove openai-responses targetFormat from GHE models so chatCore does
not run the Responses transformer (which dropped `messages`).
- Add ghe-copilot to OAUTH_TEST_CONFIG (account test was "unsupported").
- Register executor in eslint suppressions.
* fix: drop stream:false for GHE Copilot
The GHE Copilot proxy rejects `stream: false` ("stream": false is not
supported). Only forward the flag when actually streaming; omit it
otherwise.
* fix: force stream:true upstream for GHE Copilot (streaming-only proxy)
The GHE Copilot proxy rejects `stream: false`. forceStream:true in the
registry makes chatCore pass upstreamStream=true, but GithubExecutor
.transformRequest ignores the stream arg (void stream) and keeps the
client's stream:false. Override transformRequest in GheCopilotExecutor to
force stream:true so the proxy accepts the request; chatCore drains the
SSE back to JSON for non-stream clients.
* fix: GHE Copilot live model discovery from copilotProxyUrl/models
- Add fetchGheCopilotModels/parseGheCopilotModels using enterprise proxy URL
and { models: [{ name }] } response shape (no static allowlist)
- Wire ghe-copilot into models-import route; use plain fetch (safeOutboundFetch
header guard strips the copilot bearer token -> 403)
- Import now returns real enterprise models (copilot-nes-oct, etc.) and chat
resolves them correctly
* fix: GHE Copilot uses endpoints.api host for chat + model discovery
The GHE token endpoint returns two hosts:
- endpoints.api (copilotApiUrl) -> chat/completions + real chat model
catalog, shape { data: [{ id }] }
- endpoints.proxy (copilotProxyUrl) -> NES/autocomplete/instant-apply only,
shape { models: [{ name }] }
We were routing chat AND model discovery to endpoints.proxy, so import only
returned completion models (copilot-nes-*, instant-apply) and never the real
chat models (claude-*, gpt-*, gemini-*).
- Executor: capture endpoints.api as copilotApiUrl; buildUrl prefers it
- OAuth postExchange/mapTokens: persist copilotApiUrl from endpoints.api
- Model discovery: fetch from copilotApiUrl/models, parse { data:[{id}] }
(and proxy { models:[{name}] }) shapes, no allowlist
- All traffic stays on the configured GHE host (deutschebahn.ghe.com),
never api.githubcopilot.com
Verified: import returns 28 real chat models; chat with gpt-4o streams OK.
* feat(providers): finalize GHE Copilot implementation and add changelog fragment
* fix(providers): resolve ghe-copilot no-explicit-any + complexity ratchet
- Replace the 6 explicit `any` types in GheCopilotExecutor
(transformRequest, refreshCredentials) with proper ProviderCredentials /
unknown / ExecutorLog types, and drop the config/quality/eslint-suppressions.json
allowlist entry added for them — policy requires new violations be fixed,

- Extract refreshViaGitHubToken() and buildRefreshedProviderSpecificData()
helpers out of refreshCredentials() to bring its cyclomatic complexity
(21) back under the repo's ratchet threshold (15); behavior unchanged.

(felo.ai), following the same architectural pattern as the existing
duckduckgo-web/blackbox-web "-web" scrape family:
- POST /api-proxy/main/search/threads opens a search thread and returns a
stream_key.
- GET /api/message/v1/stream/{stream_key} streams Felo's bespoke
data:{...}-line SSE, translated into OpenAI-compatible chunks.
- 5 models (felo-chat/search/scholar/social/document) map to Felo's
chat/google/scholar/social/document search categories.
Registered in providers.ts (noauth.ts, no-auth like duckduckgo-web),
providerRegistry.ts, and executors/index.ts. Free-tier catalog entries
added with tos: "avoid" (reverse-engineered endpoint, no published API —
same ToS posture as the other -web scrape providers).
No live network access was available in this environment to smoke-test
against the real felo.ai endpoint, so validation is TDD via mocked fetch
(tests/unit/felo-web-executor.test.ts): thread-creation payload shape,
SSE parsing (answer-snapshot diffing + final_contexts drop), streaming
and non-streaming response translation, and error/timeout paths that
route through sanitizeErrorMessage() per the error-sanitization rule.

Release v3.8.42 — full CHANGELOG in CHANGELOG.md. CI: 103 checks green incl. CodeQL (all languages), Semgrep, all 8 unit shards, coverage, Node 24 compat, and integration tests. Full unit suite validated locally: 19437 pass / 0 fail. The 3 red checks are advisory and do not gate main (no required status checks): SonarCloud/SonarQube new-code coverage gate, and PR Test Policy (test-masking detector flagging the legitimate dead-Phind provider removal in #5530 — reviewed, correct). Includes cycle-close reconciliation + repair of inherited base-red tests from #5480/#5527/#5427/#5521 that the PR->release fast-path did not exercise. |
