* fix(deps): bump nanoid, dompurify for 2 new Dependabot alerts (#189, #190)
Bumps: nanoid ^3.3.17 (was transitive, now overridden), dompurify ^3.4.13
(with monaco-editor scoped override). Closes Dependabot #189, #190.
Remaining #182-#188 (js-yaml + mermaid) already closed by #9651 merge —
awaiting Dependabot re-scan.
npm audit → 0 vulnerabilities.
* fix(repo): harden .gitignore to also ignore a _tasks symlink (/_tasks)
_tasks is a SEPARATE nested git repo (gitignored). The pattern _tasks/ (trailing
slash) ignores only a directory, not a SYMLINK named _tasks. A self-referential
_tasks symlink can slip in via git add -A and, once pulled, checkout materializes
it over the real _tasks repo (destroying plans/specs/hands-off). Anchored /_tasks
ignores the symlink too, preventing re-capture.
* feat(codex): converge OAuth fingerprints
* test(codex): preserve identity assertions
* fix(codex): preserve explicit off identity

* fix: complete Z.ai web browser transport
* refactor: address Z.ai review feedback
* test(zai-web): reconcile the #8014 endpoint guard with the chats/new + signed flow
Rebasing onto release/v3.8.49 pulled in #8503, which repointed CHAT_URL to
/api/v2/chat/completions and added an endpoint probe. This branch already
targets v2, so the executor conflict resolved to this branch's superset
(NEW_CHAT_URL + signature constants alongside the same v2 CHAT_URL). The two
tests needed adapting, because #8503's assertions assume the pre-rework flow:
- executor-zai-web.test.ts: the completion URL now carries the request
signature as a query string, so an exact-equality check on the endpoint can
never match. Assert the v2 prefix instead.
- zai-web-chat-endpoint-8014-probe.test.ts: the probe drove the executor with a
bare cookie credential and no captcha proof, which now routes through the
browser transport — fetch was never called and the probe captured nothing.
Supplied a direct-path credential, and matched on pathname across all
requests (the executor also probes the homepage for the frontend version and
calls /api/v1/chats/new first).
The guard's intent is unchanged and slightly strengthened: it now asserts no
request reaches the stale unversioned path and that exactly one completions
request is issued, against v2.
54/54 across the zai suites; typecheck:core and eslint clean.
* fix(zai-web): surface upstream error frames instead of finishing empty
Reported on this PR: HTTP 200, `out=0`, stream "complete", no content and no
diagnosis.
Cause. HTTP-level failures are already handled — fetchUpstream turns any !ok
response into a makeErrorResult with the sanitized body. The gap is a 200 whose
SSE body carries an error payload: parseZaiFrame returns null for it,
drainSseDeltas drops it, and buildZaiStreamingBody then closes with an empty
assistant message + stop + [DONE]. The caller reads that as a successful empty
completion, so a rejected signature, an expired captcha and a stale token all
look identical — which is why this had to be diagnosed by reading code rather
than logs. Hard Rule #6.
Fix. parseZaiFrame now classifies an affirmatively error-shaped frame
(`error` at the top level or under `data`, string or {detail|message|msg}) as a
terminal delta, checked before the delta paths so it cannot fall through to the
"no usable delta" null. The stream emits it as `[Z.ai error] <message>`,
matching the mid-stream convention the other web executors already use
(zed-hosted's createErrorChunk) — the 200 is on the wire, so the status cannot
change, but the caller must not be left reading a blank success. Content
streamed before the failure is preserved. Message goes through
sanitizeErrorMessage (Rule #12).
Deliberately NOT changed: a contentless frame still parses to null. That is
live-validated behaviour, not an oversight — z.ai emits phase frames with no
delta_content, and executor-zai-web.test.ts pins it ("returns null for frames
with no usable delta"). Treating "nothing parseable arrived" as a failure would
invent policy on top of an observed protocol and risk false errors on the happy
path, so this only adds recognition of explicit error frames.
Tests (TDD, RED then GREEN): zai-web-silent-empty-repro.test.ts — 7 cases.
Error frame classified and terminal; surfaced through the stream with the
upstream's own text; surfaced after partial content without losing it; plus a
REGRESSION GUARD that contentless/phase-only frames are still skipped, and two
controls that the happy path and reasoning-only output are untouched. The guard
and controls passed before the fix; the four error cases did not.
94/94 across the zai + stream suites; typecheck:core, eslint and check:file-size
clean.
* refactor(sse): extract the zai-web transports so the complexity ratchet holds
The v3.8.49 merge-train rebaseline (#8686) set the ceiling to the tip's own
measurement, leaving zero headroom, so this branch's +5 cyclomatic / +3 cognitive
own-growth had nowhere to sit once rebased onto it.
Eight violations, all in code this branch introduces, resolved by extraction —
no behaviour change:
- `execute` (152 lines, complexity 25, cognitive 20) now delegates to
`resolveZaiRequest()` for the four client-error rejections and to a
`fetchViaSignedApi()` method for the CAPTCHA/signature path, so it reads as
"validate, pick a transport, shape the response".
- `fetchThroughBrowser` (126 lines, cognitive 16) hands its image decoding to
`resolveZaiBrowserAttachments()`, its Playwright options to
`buildZaiBrowserChatOptions()`, and its call-log payload to
`buildZaiBrowserAuditBody()`.
- `configureZaiBrowserEffort` (cognitive 35 — the worst of the set) repeated a
wrap-and-relabel try/catch four times inside an if/else. `runStage`, which
already existed one function below, is now module-scoped and reused, and the
toggle collapses to `checked !== config.enabled` (same four cases).
- `validateWebCookieProvider` (complexity 19) moves its can-we-probe-this
cascade into `resolveWebCookieProbe()`, which returns either a rejection or
the URL + headers to use.
- `acquireBrowserContext`'s creation closure (complexity 17) hands cookie and
localStorage seeding to `seedContextSession()`.
That last extraction also clears a violation that predates this branch —
`acquireBrowserContext` was already over the 80-line ceiling — so cyclomatic
lands at 2187 against a baseline of 2188.
Verified: check:complexity-ratchets green both metrics; typecheck:core clean;
ESLint clean on all four files; 85 tests across the zai-web, web-cookie
validation, browser-pool and model-test-runner suites pass.
* fix(zai-web): surface upstream errors on the non-streaming path
collectZaiNonStreaming ignored delta.error — a 200 whose SSE body carries
an error frame (rejected signature, expired captcha, stale token) came
back as a successful empty completion. Now it throws on an error frame,
matching the streaming path's [Z.ai error] convention; the caller's
existing try/catch returns makeErrorResult(502) instead of an empty 200.

* Document and test ChatGPT Web integration
* fix(security): register chatgpt-web-codex-doctor in LOCAL_ONLY_API_PATTERNS
The diagnostic route under /api/providers/{id}/chatgpt-web-codex-doctor
was not registered in the spawn-capable route guard. Adding it for
parity with the existing /login pattern.

* fix(providers): route chatgpt-web-codex admin routes through a service boundary
The provider CRUD/doctor routes imported chatgpt-web-codex helpers
(finalizeValidatedChatGptWebCodexSecrets, encode/decodeChatGptWebCodexSecrets,
getChatGptWebCodexDoctorStatus) directly from open-sse/executors/**, which
no-restricted-imports (EXECUTOR_IMPORT_RESTRICTION) forbids for src/app/**
files — executor implementations must stay behind an open-sse handler or
service boundary.
Add open-sse/services/chatgptWebCodexAdmin.ts as a thin re-export boundary
(mirroring the existing tokenRefresh.ts re-export pattern) and import from
there instead. No behavior change.

* feat(providers): add support for TinyCMS Web including WASM-based cryptographic signing and Proof-of-Work emulation
* feat(providers): add unit tests, ESLint suppressions, and fix hardcoded userid for TinyCMS Web
- Add unit tests for WASM init, UUID validation, challenge flow (15 tests)
- Add WASM source comment explaining binary origin
- Replace hardcoded userid with dynamic provider-specific data
- Add ESLint suppressions for no-explicit-any in WASM bridge code
- Add explanatory comments for DOM shim (runtime WASM-bindgen, not test mocks)
Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com>
* refactor(providers): extract TinyCMS DOM shims into an explicit setup function
tinycmsSigner.ts installed its window/document/HTMLCanvasElement/
CanvasRenderingContext2D shims for the wasm-bindgen glue as a module-load
side effect. That meant merely importing the module (even transitively,
e.g. through the provider registry from an unrelated test) mutated
global state for the rest of the test process.
Extract the shim installation into setupDomMocks(), which returns a
restore callback:
- initTinyCmsWasm() calls it once before instantiating the WASM module
(production path — unchanged behavior, still automatic).
- tests/unit/provider-tinycms-web.test.ts now calls it explicitly in a
`before` hook and restores the previous globals in `after`, so the
shims never leak into other test files.
As a side effect, replacing five separate `as any` casts with a single
typed `global as Record<string, any>` handle drops the file's
no-explicit-any count from 5 to 1; eslint-suppressions.json updated to
match.

* fix(quality): green release/v3.8.50 base-reds — env-doc sync + file-size freeze (#9985)
Sweep base-reds from issue #9985 on release/v3.8.50:
- env-doc-sync: add COMMANDCODE_API_URL + ANTIGRAVITY_ALLOW_SIGNATURE_BYPASS to
.env.example and ENVIRONMENT.md (in code, missing from docs); add
OMNIROUTE_STRICT_SYSTEM_PROVIDERS + TLS_FINGERPRINT_PROVIDERS to ENVIRONMENT.md
(in .env.example, missing from doc). Restores the 3-way env contract.
- file-size: freeze open-sse/utils/proxyFetch.ts at 1207 (new proxied-TLS fetch
helper over the 1000 cap). Owner-authorized quick rebaseline; slim for v3.9.0.
Co-authored-by: OmniRoute maintenance <maintainers@omniroute.local>
* fix(quality): green open-sse+dashboard typecheck base-reds (#9985)
Release-equivalent fast-gates surface 5 real TS regressions inherited by the
base from merged Fal/guardrails/cursor work (fast-gates PR->release do not run
these, so they accrued on release/v3.8.50):
- open-sse/handlers/imageGeneration/providers/fal.ts: normalizeProviderImagePayload
missing 4th 'b64_json' arg (TS2554).
- open-sse/handlers/videoGeneration/falHandler.ts: narrow video to Record before .url.
- src/app/api/v1/images/generations/route.ts: type the toJsonErrorPayload read.
- src/lib/guardrails/visionBridgeHelpers.ts: cast through unknown for UA fetch.
- src/lib/providers/mergeProviderModelListing.ts: drop index-signature requirement
that made interface RegistryModel[] unassignable (TS2322, from #9911).
All fixed in source (keeps the gates meaningful); each reproduces on the base tip.
Co-authored-by: OmniRoute maintenance <maintainers@omniroute.local>
* fix(quality): allowlist onnxruntime-node in dependency allowlist (#9985)
check:deps base-red — onnxruntime-node is a real production dep (transformers
embedding path) landed via the LLMLingua/transformers bump (#9962) without an
allowlist entry. Legit package: microsoft onnxruntime, verified in registry.
* fix(quality): rebaseline CodeQL ratchet 1->2 for #9940 fingerprint alerts (#9985)
Base-red: 2nd js/insufficient-password-hash alert on chatBodyAdmission API-key
fingerprints (sha256->16-hex admission-lane key), not password verification.
Reproduces on release/v3.8.50 tip. Owner-authorized rebaseline (revisit v3.9.0).
* fix(quality): green release/v3.8.50 unit base-reds (#9985)
8 unit-test base-reds reproducing on the pristine release tip, fixed in-source
(fast-gates PR->release do not run the unit suite, so these accrued silently):
- ServiceSupervisor: spawn-failure now resolves with error status (was throwing);
health-probe-failure path still rejects. Distinct via spawnFailed flag.
- stream + responseSanitizer: numeric passthrough id preserved as string (was
regenerated chatcmpl-); finish chunk with empty delta no longer swallowed by
the emptyChoices guard.
- proxyFetch: genuine (non-abort) proxy transport failures keep the underlying
reason in the surfaced error.
- auto-combo builtinCatalog: advertised undefined-variant auto/* ids (auto/chat,
auto/best-chat, auto/pro-chat) materialize instead of throwing 'Unknown'.
- getTranslations en.json: add missing providers.iconUrlInvalid.
- optional-transformers-dependency.test: reconcile to #9962's deliberate
move of @huggingface/transformers to a regular dep (napi onnxruntime).

Modal (modal.com) is bring-your-own-deploy and requires a Base URL pointing to the
user's OpenAI-compatible Modal app. The connect-connection form labels the Base URL
override field as Optional, but the modal validator does not handle the empty case:
when no Base URL is set it passes normalizeBaseUrl('') into validateOpenAILikeProvider,
which builds an empty probe URL and trips parseOutboundUrl, leaking the raw guard
message 'Invalid outbound URL: '.
Fix: guard the empty/whitespace baseUrl case in the modal specialty validator and
return a clear, actionable error message explaining that a Base URL is required.
Add a regression test asserting the fix.

* feat(dashboard): add RADAR_ENABLED flag (default off)
* feat(db): radar feed cache + settings with encrypted supporter key
* feat(radar): signed feed sync with pinned key and version floor
- feedSchema.ts: Zod v4 schema mirroring the server feed format
(discriminated union on budget.kind, enum constraints, etc.)
- pinnedKeys.ts: Ed25519 SPKI-DER pinned key + env override for forks
- verify.ts: signature verification over exact wire bytes, never throws
- sync.ts: full download/verify/validate/cache pipeline with injectable
deps, feature-flag gate, opt-in gate, version floor (numeric compare),
and sanitized error reasons (no stack traces)
- 40 tests covering: contract hash, key handling, sig verification,
schema validation, version compare, all sync paths (disabled, opt_out,
invalid_signature, invalid_schema, stale, updated, error), auth header
injection, and cache-untouched assertions for every failure mode
* feat(radar): read-time overlay merge rules over the free catalog
Pure function applyFeed() merges the cached Radar feed over the static
baseline catalog at read time, honoring 4 rules:
1. Feed never overwrites a local override field.
2. enabled:false disables the entry with disabledBy:"radar" provenance.
3. User-added entry NOT in the feed survives untouched.
4. User deletion tombstone prevents feed resurrection.
getRadarCatalog() accessor in index.ts: flag off / no cache / corrupt
payload all fall back to baseline. Valid cache applies the overlay and
returns feed metadata (version, tier, fetchedAt).
TDD: 19 tests (4 rules + dedup + origin + accessor flag/cache/corrupt/
valid/bad-feed + baselineToMergedEntries converter).
* feat(dashboard): radar catalog and guided setup screens
- API routes: GET /api/radar/catalog, POST /api/radar/sync, POST /api/radar/settings
- All gated on RADAR_ENABLED flag (404 when off)
- Error responses via buildErrorBody(), never raw stack/message
- Settings never echoes clear supporter key (masked omr_****<last4>)
- Sync delegates to syncRadar() server-side, never proxies feed URL
- Dashboard pages:
- /dashboard/radar: 4 states (flag off, opt-in pending, empty, populated)
- /dashboard/radar/setup?provider=X: guided setup with steps, key URL, test connection
- Uses existing Card component and next-intl patterns
- Sidebar: radar entry in costs group with icon
- i18n: pt-BR and en keys for radarPage and radarSetupPage namespaces
- Tests:
- radar-api-routes.test.ts: 11 tests (flag-off 404, flag-on shape, error sanitization)
- radar-page-state.test.ts: 5 tests (pure state logic)
- All 90 radar tests pass (including prior 74)
* docs(radar): module doc and flag-off inertia test
Add docs/frameworks/RADAR.md covering the flag gate, the separate data-sync
opt-in and privacy promise, the Ed25519 signature/pinned-key security model,
tiers, the read-time overlay merge rules, and the self-hosting env vars —
plus index entries in CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md/docs/README.md/REPOSITORY_MAP.md.
Document RADAR_FEED_URL and RADAR_FEED_PUBKEY in .env.example and
docs/reference/ENVIRONMENT.md to satisfy check:env-doc-sync, which was
failing on this branch since the sync.ts commit added the reads.
Add tests/unit/radar-inertia.test.ts as the single canonical place asserting
the "RADAR_ENABLED off => zero behavioral delta" claim end to end: the three
/api/radar/* routes 404, the flag resolves to the definition default with no
override, getRadarCatalog() returns exactly the baseline without touching the
cache, and computeFreeModelTotals() keeps its pinned values with the Radar
module imported alongside it.
* fix(db): renumber radar migration to 135 after collision with 134
The base branch introduced 134_proxy_logs_egress_ip while this branch carried
134_radar_cache_settings; the migration runner rejects duplicate numeric prefixes.
This migration has never been applied to a real database (the PR is unmerged), so
no retroactive isSchemaAlreadyApplied guard is needed.
* i18n(radar): translate radar catalog and setup strings to all locales
The UI-coverage ratchet measures (present - placeholder) / total_en, so the
__MISSING__ sentinels that i18n:sync-ui writes do not count as covered — only
real translations restore the metric. Scoped to this PR's namespaces
(radarPage, radarSetupPage, sidebar.radar*) instead of a bulk sync, which would
have pulled ~978 unrelated pending keys into this diff.
Placeholders and code identifiers verified preserved across all 1682 strings.
* fix(radar): trust the served-tier header instead of the signed body field
The signed feed body always carries tier:"live" by design (one signed
artifact per version — rewriting the field server-side per request
would break the exact-bytes Ed25519 signature). The server now returns
the tier ACTUALLY served via the x-omniroute-feed-tier response
header, so free users on a delayed community snapshot no longer see
"Ao vivo (tempo real)" in the UI.
sync.ts now reads and validates that header (falling back to the
body's tier only when the header is absent or holds an unrecognized
value) and stores the served tier in the cache; index.ts already
surfaces cache.tier to the UI unchanged.
* test(combo): shorten an assert message that exceeded the line limit
The assertion added by #9507 was 104 chars, so prettier reformatted it into
five lines on the next commit that touched the file, pushing it past its
frozen size (3449) and failing check:file-size. The message is shortened
(the issue reference stays in the comment directly above); the assertion
itself is unchanged, and the file is back to 3448 lines and prettier-clean.
* i18n(radar): use the canonical zh-TW glossary terms
The machine translation produced retired renderings the glossary gate blocks:
供應商 for provider (canonical 提供者) and 文檔 for documentation (canonical 文件).
Fixed across the 11 affected radar strings; tests/unit/i18n-glossary-consistency-check.test.ts
is back to 17/17.
* fix(radar): point the default feed URL at the domain that exists
radar.omniroute.dev was a placeholder for a domain that was never registered,
so an out-of-the-box sync would fail DNS resolution for every user. The live
feed is served from radar.omniroute.online (the subdomain the design always
specified), now behind Cloudflare TLS. Forks still override it via
RADAR_FEED_URL.

* fix(providers): add missing poe registry baseUrl entry (#8082)
The built-in poe provider (passthroughModels:true, NAMED_OPENAI_STYLE_PROVIDERS)
had no open-sse/config/providers/ REGISTRY entry, so model discovery's
getRegistryEntry("poe")?.baseUrl resolved to undefined and GET
/api/providers/[id]/models always failed with {"error":"No base URL
configured for provider"} even though credentials and inference worked fine
(the validation/inference path already had a hardcoded https://api.poe.com/v1
fallback). Adds a real REGISTRY entry mirroring moonshot/byteplus, and points
the audioMiscProviders.ts hardcoded fallback at the same POE_DEFAULT_BASE_URL
constant so both paths agree going forward.

- validateWebCookieProvider's /models probe against lmarena's registered
baseUrl (a POST-only streaming endpoint from #6280) triggers a 307
REDIRECT_BLOCKED from safeOutboundFetch, which was surfaced as a raw
"Redirect blocked" error (unsupported:false) instead of the honest
"unsupported" signal — the dashboard rendered a hard Invalid state for a
perfectly valid cookie.
- Add toWebCookieValidationErrorResult() in validation/transport.ts: for
providers whose /models probe is known-unreliable (lmarena for now),
REDIRECT_BLOCKED now degrades to {valid:false, unsupported:true}, mirroring
the same REDIRECT_BLOCKED degrade already applied on the discovery path by
#6267. Deliberately scoped to lmarena only (see code comment) — other
web-cookie providers with a similarly-shaped baseUrl need their own proven
repro before joining the allowlist.
- Remove the now-stale comment at validation.ts claiming lmarena has no
providerRegistry entry (false since #6280 registered one).
- Regression test: tests/unit/arena-cookie-validation-redirect-7542.test.ts

* fix(7078): match on url.hostname and anchor path with startsWith

Notion AI has no public inference API (see closed request #3272), so this
adds it as a new entry in the established web-cookie provider category
(chatgpt-web, claude-web, grok-web, ...): cookie-based auth via the
token_v2 session cookie posted to Notion's undocumented internal
POST /api/v3/runInferenceTranscript endpoint, translating its NDJSON
transcript-patch stream into OpenAI-compatible chat completions.
- NotionWebExecutor (open-sse/executors/notion-web.ts): resolves the
token_v2 cookie (+ optional space_id/notion_browser_id), builds a
Notion transcript from the chat messages, parses the NDJSON response
(cumulative-snapshot semantics, mirroring gemini-web.ts's handling of
#7163), and returns a chat.completion or pseudo-streamed SSE response.
All error paths route through makeExecutorErrorResult (sanitized).
- RegistryEntry under open-sse/config/providers/registry/notion-web/,
registered in providers/index.ts REGISTRY and executors/index.ts
(alias "nw").
- WEB_COOKIE_PROVIDERS entry (src/shared/constants/providers/web-cookie.ts)
with subscriptionRisk + webCookie risk notice, clearly labeled
"(Unofficial/Experimental)".
- Cookie-probe validator (validateNotionWebProvider) against Notion's
getSpaces endpoint, and a webSessionCredentials.ts UI entry for the
"Add session cookie" flow.
- Regenerated docs/reference/PROVIDER_REFERENCE.md and the
provider/translate-path golden snapshot (purely additive diffs); synced
the "251 providers" count across README/AGENTS/CLAUDE.md
(check:docs-counts STRICT gate).
Tests: tests/unit/executor-notion-web.test.ts (22 cases — registry
consistency, mocked-upstream request/response translation, NDJSON
snapshot parsing, cookie resolution, sanitized error paths) plus the
existing executor-web-cookie-sweep, provider-alias-uniqueness,
check-provider-consistency, web-session-credentials, and
provider-translate-path-golden suites all pass with notion-web included.

AssemblyAI/Kie.ai upload -> submit -> poll pattern already used by the
audio transcription handler:
- audioRegistry.ts: new "rev-ai" entry (bearer auth, async: true,
format: "rev-ai") with machine/low_cost/fusion transcriber models.
- audioTranscription.ts: handleRevAiTranscription() submits the job
with the media file inline in the multipart body (field "media"),
polls GET /jobs/{id} until "transcribed"/"failed", then fetches the
plain-text transcript. buildMultipartBody() gained an optional
fileFieldName param (default "file") so Rev AI's "media" field name
doesn't require a bespoke multipart builder. Errors route through
the existing upstreamErrorResponse()/errorResponse() helpers.
- providers/audio.ts: catalog entry (id/alias/name/icon/color/website)
for the dashboard connection UI.
- validation/audioMiscProviders.ts + validation.ts: validateRevAiProvider
wired into the provider "Test Connection" dispatcher.
Streaming (WebSocket) STT is scoped as a follow-up per the analyzed
plan — no existing precedent to extend, needs its own design pass.
Closes#6655.
Add a per-connection cache capability override (supportsPromptCaching,
cacheControlPassthrough) stored in provider_specific_data.cache, consulted
first by providerSupportsCaching() / providerHonorsOpenAIFormatCacheControl()
before falling back to the hardcoded CACHING_PROVIDERS name sets. Unblocks
prompt_cache_key injection, the compression cache-aware guard, and
cache_control passthrough for openai-compatible-chat-<uuid>-style custom
connections that can never match the hardcoded provider-name sets. Default
(no override) is byte-identical to current behavior.
getStaticModelsForProvider() only defined literal catalogs for
linkup-search, ollama-search, and searchapi-search out of the 12 ids in
SEARCH_PROVIDERS. The other 9 (serper-search, brave-search,
perplexity-search, exa-search, tavily-search, google-pse-search,
youcom-search, searxng-search, zai-search) returned undefined and hit
the 400 "does not support models listing" tail in the models route
during the "Import Models" step.
Instead of adding 9 more one-off literal entries, generalize the class:
when a provider has no dedicated STATIC_MODEL_PROVIDERS entry, fall
back to a catalog derived from SEARCH_PROVIDERS[id].searchTypes (every
search-registry entry already declares this). Future search providers
added to searchRegistry.ts automatically get a usable catalog with zero
extra code.
Closes#7529
Root cause: validateOpenAILikeProvider's chat-probe status handling
(src/lib/providers/validation/openaiFormat.ts) only special-cased
401/403, 404/405, and >=500 — every other status, including 429, fell
through to the unqualified return { valid: true, error: null }. For
permanently-throttled free tiers (e.g. opencode-zen, classified
'avoid' in freeTierCatalog.ts), the dashboard connection Test reported
green forever while real traffic hit 429 on every request, with no
signal to the user.
Fix mirrors the existing validateBedrockProvider 429 precedent in the
same file: keep valid:true (the key is accepted) but add a warning
field describing the rate limit, instead of an indistinguishable pass.
Regression test: tests/unit/issue-7284-connection-test-masks-429.test.ts
mocks a 404 /models probe followed by a 429 chat probe and asserts the
result now carries { valid: true, error: null, warning: <rate-limit string> }.
Gates run (all green):
- node --import tsx/esm --test tests/unit/issue-7284-connection-test-masks-429.test.ts
- node --import tsx/esm --test tests/unit/provider-validation-firepass-403.test.ts tests/unit/validation-format-validators-split.test.ts (existing tests of the touched area, unaffected)
- node scripts/check/check-file-size.mjs
- node scripts/check/check-complexity.mjs (2054/2056 baseline, unchanged)
- node scripts/check/check-cognitive-complexity.mjs (889/890 baseline, unchanged)
- npm run typecheck:core
- npx eslint --suppressions-location config/quality/eslint-suppressions.json <changed files>
Root cause: validateOpenAICompatibleProvider's chat-completions probe fallback treated ANY 4xx other than 401/403/429/400 as a silent 'credentials valid' pass with no warning, so a bogus/non-standard model id (e.g. Featherless/OpenRouter vendor/model typos) went undetected at Check time. The first real request then hit the upstream 404 model_not_found and the per-model lockout, holding the model unavailable for the configured reset window with no prior indication anything was wrong.
User-visible effect: 'Check' now returns valid:true with an explicit warning (including the upstream error message when parseable) whenever the chat probe answers 404, so a bad model id is caught before it reaches production traffic and the lockout.

* feat(providers): add GPT-5.6 model family
* fix(chatgpt-web): resume temporary chat handoffs
* fix(codex): auto-merge discovery, filter denylist, revalidate on lifecycle
Restore live/GitHub auto-merge for Codex catalogs, drop models via
explicit denylist (GPT-5.4 family), and run scrub+live re-sync once on
first-start, app upgrade, or setup completion. Success log:
kill deprecated models complete.
* fix(codex): preserve live catalog reconciliation
Expose remote-only Codex models without dropping user custom entries, and complete lifecycle revalidation only after a successful internal sync. Keep credentialed self-fetches pinned to the active dashboard listener.

* fix(lmarena): modernize Arena web provider + static Direct-chat catalog
Update the lmarena provider for arena.ai (product rebranded from LMArena):
- Route chat via arena.ai create-evaluation with Chrome TLS impersonation
(tls-client-node) and optional browser-minted recaptchaV3Token.
- Seed Text+Search (48) into the chat registry; seed Image (27) only into
IMAGE_PROVIDERS. Disable live HTML model discovery; resolve public names to
Arena UUIDs from the static TypeScript allowlist (no scrape JSON in-repo).
- Soft-exclude 404/502 model ids; slow/stop bulk test-all probes for this provider.
- Do not fold IMAGE_PROVIDERS/video specialty into the chat provider catalog when
a chat registry already exists (lmarena/openai/xai).
- Display name Arena (Free); keep wire id `lmarena` / alias `lma` for back-compat.
- Theme-aware provider icons: arena-light.svg / arena-dark.svg.
- Preserve split Supabase SSR cookie reconstruction for arena-auth-prod-v1.*.
* fix(providers): align provider-models-route test fixture + regen provider reference
Fold the topaz image-only catalog entry's apiFormat/supportedEndpoints
into the local-catalog test fixture (route now tags media-only
providers per the lmarena PR's staticModels.ts change), regenerate
PROVIDER_REFERENCE.md against the merged release providers.ts, and add
the changelog fragment for #6280.

* feat(oauth): add Kiro long-lived API key auth (#6587)
New /api/oauth/kiro/api-key route + KiroService.validateApiKey let a
Kiro account be linked with a long-lived AWS CodeWhisperer/Kiro API
key instead of the interactive OAuth device flow, with live
per-account model discovery (ListAvailableModels, 5-minute cache)
layered over the existing static registry fallback.

* fix(merge): restore #6126 clinepass files reverted by release auto-resolve + baseline re-merge
The release sync's auto-resolve reverted sibling PR #6126's clinepass work
(registry, catalog, oauth constants, clineAuth.ts, token-refresh case, tests)
and the file-size baseline — all outside this PR's scope. Restored to the
release versions, re-applied only this PR's own baseline entries, restored the
#6126 CHANGELOG bullet (re-inserting only this PR's own).

* chore(quality): freeze public-creds FP — AWS region default in validateApiKey signature
Same class as the existing minimax fn-param FPs: CRED_KEY_RE matches the
apiKey: param annotation and captures the region default "us-east-1",
which is not a credential.

* fix(kiro): keep hard-failure reject semantics + kill public-creds fn-param FP at the source
- getKiroUsage: exhausted non-auth attempts now REJECT with the last HTTP-status
failure in the pre-#6587 format (usage-service-hardening relies on it); auth
failures keep the soft social-auth message.
- validateApiKey: region default moved out of the parameter list (the
check-public-creds CRED_KEY_RE matches the apiKey: annotation and flags any
literal in the signature); drops the brittle line-keyed allowlist entry.

* feat(providers): rebase ClinePass dual-auth (OAuth + BYOK) onto release/v3.8.47
ClinePass now offers both sign-in methods on its dashboard page: OAuth
(reusing the Cline WorkOS flow, primary "Connect" button) or a pasted
BYOK API key ("Manual API key"), instead of only the API-key-only
provider shipped in #5942.
- Registry: authType oauth + oauth urls, alias aligned to "cp" (matches
the OAUTH_PROVIDERS catalog alias so <alias>/<modelId> routing
resolves); keeps the #6165 forceStream:true fix (streaming-only API).
- Executor: new buildClinepassHeaders() (src/shared/utils/clineAuth.ts)
picks buildClineHeaders() for an OAuth accessToken or a plain Bearer +
Cline identification headers for a BYOK key — extracted to a leaf
module to avoid growing the frozen open-sse/executors/default.ts.
- Refresh: dispatch clinepass to the shared refreshClineToken() (was
falling through to the generic refresh and failing silently).
- Catalog: admit the BYOK path through a dedicated
DUAL_AUTH_APIKEY_PROVIDER_IDS gate (src/lib/providers/catalog.ts) so
POST /api/providers accepts an apikey connection without flipping
isOAuth off (which would break the primary Connect->OAuth routing).
- Dashboard: render both "Connect" + "Manual API key" buttons for
clinepass (ConnectionsHeaderToolbar.tsx, EmptyConnectionsPlaceholder.tsx).
- Dedup: removed the now-redundant API-key-only APIKEY_PROVIDERS_GATEWAYS
entry so ClinePass is listed once (OAuth-primary).
- oauth.ts: added the clinepass catalog entry (was reverted by staleness
during rebase); src/lib/oauth/providers/index.ts: clinepass -> cline.
This branch was ~167 commits / weeks behind release/v3.8.47; a real
merge surfaced 61 conflicting files, several of which are already-shipped
fixes (forceStream #6165, zed-hosted, requesty, agentrouter CC-wire-image,
NVIDIA/Mistral/kimi executor fixes, chatCore hardening) that a naive
resolution would have silently reverted. Reconstructed clean on top of
current release/v3.8.47, isolating and re-applying only the clinepass
dual-auth feature and preserving every already-shipped fix untouched.
tokenRefresh.ts's frozen-file cap raised by the irreducible 1-line
`case "clinepass":` switch label (config/quality/file-size-baseline.json,
justified inline); open-sse/executors/default.ts stays under its cap via
the buildClinepassHeaders() extraction.
Regression guard: tests/unit/clinepass-provider.test.ts (15/15, extended
with the dual-auth admission-gate and alias-consistency guards).

* test(providers): update APIKEY_PROVIDERS spread-merge count 171->170
The ClinePass dual-auth rebase (this PR) removed the now-redundant
API-key-only APIKEY_PROVIDERS_GATEWAYS.clinepass entry (dedup — clinepass
is OAuth-primary now, with its BYOK path admitted through the
DUAL_AUTH_APIKEY_PROVIDER_IDS gate instead of a second catalog entry),
which drops the total APIKEY_PROVIDERS spread-merge count by one.
tests/unit/providers-constants-split.test.ts hardcoded the prior count
(171); updated to 170 to match, confirmed via CI (Unit Tests fast-path
1/2 and 2/2 both failed on the stale count).
