fix(sse): recognize MCP-gateway-namespaced CCR retrieve tool names (#13781, #13897) (#14028)
callerSupportsCcrRetrieve() matched the omniroute_ccr_retrieve tool by exact string equality. MCP aggregators/gateways (Docker MCP Toolkit, Claude Code) rename re-exposed tools with a namespace prefix (e.g. mcp__docker__omniroute__omniroute_ccr_retrieve, or a dotted/slashed prefix), so a fully MCP-capable caller reachable only under such a name was treated as unable to retrieve at all -- skipping both the protocol-instruction injection and, per the #7746 safety guarantee, the entire CCR compression engine for that request. Add matchesCcrRetrieveToolName(), a separator-bounded trailing-segment match (__, ., /, :) that accepts a namespaced form of the tool name while still rejecting a near-miss like omniroute_ccr_retrieve_v2 -- never a bare substring/endsWith check. |

fix(compression): place output-style instruction in top-level system, not messages[0] (#13383)
* fix(compression): place output-style instruction in top-level system, not messages[0] Anthropic-shaped bodies reject a synthetic system-role entry unshifted at messages[0] (the claude passthrough forwards messages unchanged, and the upstream API requires system content in the top-level system parameter). Output styles and the caveman output mode now land their instruction in the top-level system field when it exists (string or content-block array) and only fall back to a trailing system message for OpenAI-shaped bodies, which the claude system-role extraction hoists. Custom endpoint system prompts skip the unshift whenever a top-level system field is present. All compression options stay enabled; placement-only fix. Fixes #12584 * test(compression): cover system-instruction placement branches 4 and 6 Adds direct unit cases for the placement ladder branches that had no coverage, asserting where the instruction lands: - branch 4: merge into a system message at index >= 1, leaving messages[0] untouched (plus the skip-over-a-block-content system message variant). - branch 6: trailing append when the body has neither a `system` field nor a string-content system message. - block-array `system`: appends one block and is idempotent on a second pass (first coverage of the array path of the marker check). Also normalizes a malformed non-string/non-array top-level `system` (e.g. `null`) to "" before the format branch in injectSystemPrompt and injectCustomSystemPrompt. Previously such a body entered the `system` branch, matched neither format, and silently dropped the prompt without falling back to the messages path. Both new guards fail without this change. * chore(compression): add changelog fragment for top-level system placement |

feat(compression): make Lite tool-result truncation length configurable (#13915)
* feat(compression): make Lite tool-result truncation length configurable Lite truncated tool results at a hardcoded 2000 characters. Coding-agent payloads (file reads, crash dumps) lost the middle of the content with no supported way to raise the cap. Honor lite.maxToolLength from settings, then OMNIROUTE_LITE_MAX_TOOL_LENGTH, then 2000. Existing installs keep the old length. Related to #13178. Signed-off-by: Minxi Hou <houminxi@gmail.com> #13178 stays open. * compression/lite: keep a stored cap when a step or toggle write is incomplete An out-of-range step maxToolLength was still a number, so it hid a valid global cap and fell through to env. A toggle-only settings PUT replaced the whole lite row and dropped the stored cap. Save treated an out-of-range number like a cleared field. Reject the bad Save, merge omitted caps, and use null to clear. Related to #13178. Signed-off-by: Minxi Hou <houminxi@gmail.com> * compression/lite: stop dashboard copy from hard-coding a 2000-char cap The page overlays schema descriptions from i18n. Updating only LITE_SCHEMA left operators seeing "over 2,000 characters" after the cap became configurable. Also assert the Save error string, not the Save button. Related to #13178. Signed-off-by: Minxi Hou <houminxi@gmail.com> * chore(changelog): move #13915 entry to a changelog.d fragment --------- Signed-off-by: Minxi Hou <houminxi@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com> |

fix(compression): skip RTK dedup and truncation for non-shell tool results (#13521)
* fix(db): union customModels with syncedAvailableModels in dispatch path * fix(compression): skip RTK dedup and truncation for non-shell tool results RTK's line deduplication and truncation were applied to all tool results including non-shell tools (read, grep, glob, edit, write). This collapsed structurally meaningful repeated lines in file content (e.g. JSON closing braces, repeated key names), silently corrupting what the model received. Now skipFilters (set for non-shell tools) and isDocumentLikeRead both gate dedup and truncation, so file content survives byte-identical. Fixes #13388 * fix(compression): restrict RTK truncation skip to document-like reads The non-shell truncation-skip (options.skipFilters) disabled the generic line/char cap for every non-shell tool result, including grep/glob/search output that #4559 deliberately did NOT exempt. Only isDocumentLikeRead now gates the generic truncation cap; the broader skip stays for dedup, which is the operation that actually corrupts structured JSON content. Also drops docs/omniroute-pr-body.md, an out-of-scope file carried by an unrelated commit on this branch, and fixes the regression test's broken relative import (tests/unit/compression -> open-sse is 3 levels up, not 2 — this is why the test file could not even load before this commit), adjusts its truncation fixture to a genuinely document-like (non-JSON) read so it actually exercises the isDocumentLikeRead exemption, and adds a negative case asserting large non-shell grep output still gets truncated by the generic cap. Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com> * test(compression): make the RTK preservation test an actual regression guard The four cases all passed against the tip WITHOUT this branch's fix, so they guarded nothing — the next RTK refactor could reopen #13388 in silence. Two causes, both fixed here: - The fixture's repeated lines were not consecutive, and deduplicateRepeatedLines only collapses consecutive runs, so dedup never ran on it. Replaced with a matrix of identical rows, where collapsing them CORRUPTS the data rather than just reformatting it — which is the damage the fix prevents. - Both central assertions sat inside `if (result.stats)`. With the old fixture the engine reported no stats, so the assertion bodies were skipped entirely and the test passed by doing nothing. They now run unconditionally. Verified in both directions on the current tip: with this branch's fix → tests 4 | pass 4 | fail 0 against the tip's engine → tests 4 | pass 3 | fail 1 ✖ RTK should NOT dedup file content from a non-shell 'read' tool --------- Co-authored-by: Forge <forge@kooshapari.local> Co-authored-by: KooshaPari <kooshapari@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com> |

fix(compression): track only the recursion path in isStrictlySerializable (#13154) (#13423)
* fix(compression): remove isStrictlySerializable gate that rejects valid bodies (#13154) Fixes #13154 isCompressionWorkerEligible used isStrictlySerializable to pre-validate bodies before posting them to a worker thread. The gate is stricter than structuredClone (which postMessage uses natively), rejecting: - undefined values (common in optional config fields) - Date, Map, Set, Uint8Array, RegExp (all structuredClone-compatible) - Shared (non-cyclic) sub-objects (misread as cycles) This caused compression to fall back to inline execution on the main event loop, blocking every concurrent request for the duration of compression passes — the exact failure mode of #10300. The serializability walk is a slower, buggier duplicate of the check postMessage already performs. Removing it: - Eliminates a recursive walk of the entire body on the main thread - Fixes false rejections that prevent worker offload - Allows the catch block at the call site to properly fall through to inline compression instead of silently shipping uncompressed * fix(compression): track only the recursion path, not the whole tree, in isStrictlySerializable (#13154) Restores the cycle-detection gate instead of removing it: the original bug was a single `seen` set shared across the entire recursion tree, never backtracked, so two sibling branches referencing the SAME non-cyclic sub-object were misread as a cycle. Adding to `seen` before descending and removing it after (try/finally) fixes the false positive while a genuine cycle is still rejected before it ever reaches postMessage/the worker. Also reverts the worker-failure catch in runCompressionAsync back to returning the body uncompressed: a worker timeout means the compression was already too heavy for the worker's own budget, so falling through to run that same heavy compression synchronously on the main event loop defeats the point of offloading it to a worker in the first place. fix(compression): preserve case, tags and negations through llmlingua engine (#13768)
Merged. Shielding XML tags and negation/absolute words from an uncased backend, restoring source casing and edge whitespace on re-stitch, and failing open on an empty reply are each the difference between "compressed" and "changed the meaning". The 6 fidelity tests make the negation list something a future reviewer can argue with in code instead of in the abstract. Validated as a combined board first (this PR merged with the 21 siblings of the same wave on the release tip): eslint with the frozen suppressions, typecheck:core, check:open-sse-typecheck, complexity, cognitive-complexity, changelog-integrity, i18n new-key coverage, docs-counts, docs-sync, migration-numbering, provider-consistency and a duplicate-identifier audit all green, plus 176 passing / 0 failing focused node:test cases across the 25 test files the wave touches and the dashboard test under Vitest (2/0). Then re-validated alone on the fresh tip before this merge: conflicts re-resolved, file sizes rebaselined for this PR's own growth, eslint and this PR's focused tests re-run. Thank you. |

fix(compression): run user preservePatterns before built-in patterns (#13457) (#13525)
`cavemanConfig.preservePatterns` regions are captured before the built-in patterns. Previously the built-ins ran first and turned inline code, URLs and CONST_CASE identifiers inside the user region into sentinels, and `replacePattern` silently skipped the user match (#13457). Maintainer adaptation: after #13523 moved the instruction envelopes into a region pass that runs before fenced-code extraction, the user patterns now open that same pass. User regions win over the built-in envelopes, and fenced code inside a user region stays with the region too. This keeps the "run user patterns first" semantics of your change. Also fixed the new test's `../../open-sse` import path (it had never run) and three unused `tombstoned` bindings. Reset to the release tip plus only this commit (the branch carried ~2.6k unrelated commits), authorship preserved. All 5 new cases pass; full compression suite 1,531/1,531; budget gate clean. Validated in one consolidated batch of this series (37 PRs boarded together on `release/v3.8.51`): `typecheck:core`, `check:open-sse-typecheck` and `check:dashboard-typecheck` clean; ESLint clean on every changed file; file-size, complexity, cognitive-complexity, changelog-integrity, docs-counts, docs-sync and migration-numbering gates green (only the pre-existing `open-sse/utils/stream.ts` file-size red remains, inherited from the base); 3,743 focused `node:test` cases plus 34 vitest cases green. fix(compression): preserve polarity words and newlines in ultra heuristic (#13524)
The ultra heuristic no longer prunes polarity and modality words (`never`, `always`, `not`, `must`, `should`, `do`/`does`/`did`, contractions…). They now score 1.0 instead of the 0.1 stopword score, so "must never be deleted" can no longer collapse into "must deleted". It also collapses only runs of spaces and tabs, keeping the newlines that carry bullets, headings and fences (#13454). Maintainer fixes: (1) the new test imported `../../open-sse/…` from `tests/unit/compression/`, which does not resolve, so it had never run. It now passes with the rest of the compression suite (1,526 cases). (2) Dropped the unused `STOPWORDS` import. (3) `check:compression-budget` flagged the expected trade-off: ultra tokens-per-task goes prose 92→97, tool-output 116→117, json 117→126, the cost of keeping meaning-bearing words and line structure. The baseline was refreshed with `--update`, which also records a pre-existing caveman tightening (129/127/160 → 119/114/136). (4) The branch also carried the unrelated `feat(sveltekit)` commit and the #13523 commit, so it was reset to the release tip plus only this commit, authorship preserved. Validated in one consolidated batch of this series (37 PRs boarded together on `release/v3.8.51`): `typecheck:core`, `check:open-sse-typecheck` and `check:dashboard-typecheck` clean; ESLint clean on every changed file; file-size, complexity, cognitive-complexity, changelog-integrity, docs-counts, docs-sync and migration-numbering gates green (only the pre-existing `open-sse/utils/stream.ts` file-size red remains, inherited from the base); 3,743 focused `node:test` cases plus 34 vitest cases green. fix(compression): preserve instruction blocks from lossy engines (#13523)
Lossy compression engines leave `<system-reminder>`, `<instructions>` and `<project-instructions>` envelopes byte-identical. Agentic CLIs inject these into user messages, and compressing them inverted negations, dropped emphasis and broke the tags (#13453). Maintainer fixes: (1) the new test imported `../../open-sse/…` from `tests/unit/compression/`, which does not resolve, so it had never run. With the path fixed, the main case failed: the envelopes were appended to the built-in list, so fenced code and inline code inside the reminder had already become sentinels, and `replacePattern` skips any match containing one. The envelopes now form a region pass right after frontmatter, before fenced-code extraction; all 4 cases and the full compression suite (1,518) pass, and the compression budget gate reports no regression. (2) Dropped an unused `tombstoned` binding. (3) The branch also carried an unrelated `feat(sveltekit)` commit (`apps/web/**`), so it was reset to the release tip plus only this commit, authorship preserved. Validated in one consolidated batch of this series (37 PRs boarded together on `release/v3.8.51`): `typecheck:core`, `check:open-sse-typecheck` and `check:dashboard-typecheck` clean; ESLint clean on every changed file; file-size, complexity, cognitive-complexity, changelog-integrity, docs-counts, docs-sync and migration-numbering gates green (only the pre-existing `open-sse/utils/stream.ts` file-size red remains, inherited from the base); 3,743 focused `node:test` cases plus 34 vitest cases green. fix(dashboard): honor active compression profile in effective-pipeline preview (#12063) (#13287)
Merged as part of the 39-PR owner batch of 2026-09-11, validated as a unit. Boarded into one consolidated worktree cut from `release/v3.8.51` with the other 38 — zero conflicts between them. - ESLint over every changed file: no errors (the only finding was one suppression entry the batch emptied, pruned on #13243) - `typecheck:core` clean; `check:dashboard-typecheck` OK (206 pre-existing, within baseline); `check:changelog-integrity` OK - complexity 2821 / baseline 3218 and cognitive-complexity 1272 / baseline 1437 — both under baseline - 256 assertions green: 246 under node:test and 10 under vitest, which is where `tests/unit/**/*.test.tsx` actually runs - `check-file-size`: `chatCore.ts` rebaselined 6144 → 6146 for #13278 and #13276, annotated and landed on #13243 ⚠️ base-red inherited: #12732 — the provider count (356 in the docs vs the 358 the modules define) and `open-sse/utils/stream.ts` at 3115 > frozen 3098 both reproduce on the pure tip with zero contribution from this batch. |

fix(compression): terminate idle workers on eviction (#13091)
`remove(slot, false)` dropped the slot without `terminate()`, leaving the OS thread and its heap alive — invisible to RSS, which is why 55 orphaned `MessagePort`s took 16 h to surface. fix(compression): pass a URL object when spawning the LLMLingua worker (#13093)
`node:worker_threads` only treats a `URL` instance as a `file:` URL — a string must be a relative path. The silent `catch {}` in `pump()` made this degrade compression to a passthrough while still reporting success, which is the worst shape for it.

perf(stream): compile hot-path regexes once, bound token caches, fix quadratic buffering (#12179)
- **`executeAttempt.ts`** — mantido o comentário explicativo do tip. Obrigado, @opensource-elearning. |

perf(compression): OOM mitigations for large payload hashing, memoization, and token estimation (#7847) (#11844)
* perf(compression): memory and OOM mitigations for large payload hashing and token estimation * fix(compression): implement getMemoStats observability for result memo (#7847) Adds the missing memo observability layer referenced by tests/unit/compression/oom-memo-memory.test.ts and the monitoring API: - resultMemo.ts: lifetime hit/miss counters + bounded time-ordered ring buffer (10k entries, ~90KB) powering 1m/5m/15m/1h hit-rate windows; getMemoStats() reports size/capacity/hits/misses/hitRate + windows. - memoLookup() tags served results with stats.memoHit = true. - clearMemoStore() also resets counters and the ring. - compression/index.ts re-exports getMemoStats for the monitoring route. - types.ts: optional memoHit field on CompressionStats. - New GET /api/monitoring/compression route exposing the stats snapshot (lightweight, no DB) for operators to track cache-hit efficiency. * fix(compression): align memo contract with upstream #11727 — return caller object, reset lookup counter in clearMemoStore * fix(compression): restore unwrapEventEnvelope in stream payload collector summaries The OOM-mitigation commit accidentally replaced unwrapEventEnvelope(evt.data) with asRecord(evt.data) in the summary builders and live push, breaking translate-mode {event, data} envelope unwrapping (clientPayload type detection) and failing 2 stream-payload-collector tests. Restored upstream semantics; kept the jsonLength OOM optimization as the only delta in this file. * refactor(compression): break down writeValue and writeEncodedString to pass complexity ratchets Refactors jsonSha256 internal helpers (writeValue, writeEncodedString) into small, single-responsibility sub-functions under the complexity threshold (max cyclomatic 15, max cognitive 15). Preserves exact JSON.stringify parity, circular reference guards on both arrays and plain objects, and escape behavior (all 530 relevant tests pass). * test(compression): make oom-memo heap assertion robust without expose-gc The CI unit-test shard runner does not pass --expose-gc, so global.gc is undefined and heapUsed can still momentarily hold GC-pending transients (observed 53.4 MiB after a 3MiB body). Gate the retained-heap assertion on forced collection being available (3 forced cycles for array buffers) instead of skipping it silently, and keep it fully active when --expose-gc is present. * fix(compression): restore worker-pool offload path in runCompressionAsync The OOM-mitigation refactor dropped the isCompressionWorkerEligible / runCompressionInWorker dispatch at the top of runCompressionAsync, silently removing the base's worker-thread offload for eligible large payloads. Restore the block exactly as on release/v3.8.51, ahead of the result-memo path, keeping the memoization and hashing improvements intact. * docs(api): document GET /api/monitoring/compression and log route errors via pino Add the new monitoring endpoint to docs/openapi.yaml following the neighboring System entries, and replace the route's console.error with the repo-standard pino logger. * fix(skills): regenerate omni-resilience and add changelog fragment Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com> --------- Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Andrian Balanescu <AndrianBalanescu@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Diego Rodrigues de Sa e Souza <diegosouza.pw@gmail.com> |

fix: resolve compression worker file using runtime anchors instead of… (#12183)
* fix: resolve compression worker file using runtime anchors instead of import.meta.url Replace workerUrl() function that used import.meta.url with resolveWorkerFile() function that uses runtime anchors (process.cwd() and process.argv[1]) to locate the worker file. This fixes webpack module resolution in Next.js standalone bundles where import.meta.url is replaced with a stub pointing to build machine path. Also update Dockerfile to copy required worker-related scripts and adjust npm install flags for better compatibility. * fix(docker): restore base Dockerfile — keep npm ci --ignore-scripts supply-chain guard Revert every Dockerfile change from this branch back to release/v3.8.51: the branch dropped --ignore-scripts (reopening install-time script execution for all transitive deps), swapped the reproducible npm ci for npm install, invoked the nonexistent 'npm approve-scripts' command, and broke the better-sqlite3 smoke test with a stray space in ':memory: '. The worker-file fix does not need any Dockerfile change. * test(compression): export runtime-anchor helpers and cover worker-file resolution firstAncestorWith's doc already claimed 'exported for tests' without the export; export it together with resolveWorkerFile and add unit coverage for the runtime-anchor resolution: cwd anchor, dirname(argv[1]) anchor, bounded walk-up (8-level cap boundary), prod-first .js-over-.ts ordering, dev .ts fallback and the fail-open cwd fallback when nothing exists. Fixtures live in mkdtemp sandboxes only — the repo tree is never touched. --------- Co-authored-by: diegosouzapw <8016841+diegosouzapw@users.noreply.github.com> |

Validated in a combined 3-PR batch worktree off release/v3.8.51 tip (a sibling PR from the same author, #11495, was held out — a typecheck error in zai-web.ts only reproduced with this PR + #11495 boarded together, and cleared without #11495; isolated this PR alone confirmed clean on its own too, so the interaction belonged to #11495's side — see its comment). - Golden lock: executor-map-golden.test.ts — passes byte-identical (same keys, classes, provider identities, dispatch guards) - Focused tests part of batch's 94/94 node:test run - typecheck:core, file-size, changelog-integrity, complexity, cognitive-complexity — all OK - Full-repo lint: 228 pre-existing dashboard react-hooks/* findings, unrelated to this diff Thanks for the measured, careful methodology here — the golden-lock contract plus the isolated DATA_DIR benchmarking make this an easy PR to trust despite the wide surface (72 files). |

fix(responses-continuation): recover a real id/output for passthrough and translate-mode replies (#11434)

feat(codex): self-contained codex app-server transport (executor + provider + sign-in) (#11205)
Merged after conflict resolution: the 5 conflicting test files were the base-red drains that #11201 already landed on the tip — kept the tip versions; the feature content is untouched. Validated on the combined batch board + this branch: codex-app-server + codex-gpt56-catalog 25/25, typecheck:core clean, docs-counts green (351 providers), provider-consistency 268/351/0. The opt-in codex-app-server transport (JSON-RPC-over-WS, turn/completed-awaited close, Responses SSE bridge) leaves the default codex path untouched. Thank you @arminanton — a 3.4k-line transport with the docs wave and tests to match! |

fix(compression): CCR must not strand prompts for callers without the retrieve tool (#11084)
Validated on the combined batch board + this branch: ccr-non-mcp-full-prompt-loss + ccr-retrieval-ramp 20/20, file-size gate green with the ccr/index listing (1024, dated annotation — owner-authorized). The callerSupportsCcrRetrieve gate now skips the whole engine for callers whose tools[] cannot reach omniroute_ccr_retrieve — no more 15KB prompt arriving upstream as 112 tokens. Production-measured root cause, textbook TDD. Thank you @HouMinXi! |

fix(sse,compression): graceful silent-close truncation + compressToolResults boolean guard (#10805)
Two fixes: (1) createDisconnectAwareStream now distinguishes graceful max_tokens truncation (partial content already reached the client, upstream closes without a terminal marker → clean stop, no error) from a real empty-content failure (still surfaces the 502). Fixes #7699, keeps #8649 intact. (2) liteEngine's compressToolResults now requires an explicit boolean before overriding step config, instead of letting a malformed value leak through the `??` chain. Validated in an isolated worktree boarded onto origin/release/v3.8.50 (0 conflicts, 4 files): - 68/68 tests pass (silent-sse-close-7699, compression/lite, empty-stream-no-content-8649, stream-handler). - check-file-size, check-changelog-integrity: OK. - typecheck:core: clean. - check-complexity / check-cognitive-complexity: OK, both under baseline. Note: the empty-content Claude error message text changed from "Upstream stream ended without a terminal marker" to "Provider returned empty content" (matches the OpenAI/Responses branch wording) — intentional, documented in the PR. perf(compression): accelerate Lite and Caveman whitespace & artifact cleaners with native V8 RegExp (#10834)

--------- Co-authored-by: Xiangzhe <bakryun0718@proton.me> Co-authored-by: adevwithpurpose <adevwithpurpose@users.noreply.github.com> |

Stage 7 of issue #10321 moves the optional ML and browser automation dependency closures out of the desktop bundle into checksummed, versioned packs installed on demand through the omniroute packs command. - scripts/build/optionalPackStaging.mjs stages pack members under .build/optional-packs, creates release tarballs, and emits optional-packs.index.json with per-member SHA-256 checksums. - scripts/packs provides manifest, install, remove, and verification helpers plus the packs CLI commands. - Runtime lookup includes installed pack node_modules directories, while LLMLingua and browser executors continue to degrade gracefully when packs are absent. The measured darwin-arm64 staging closure was about 534 MB of the 929 MB standalone node_modules tree (57%). |

feat(sse): bring i-have-adhd to vi/ja/id parity and guard the style × language matrix (#10425)
i-have-adhd shipped in #10271 with en + pt-BR only; it now covers vi/ja/id as well, matching ponytail. Every level keeps the SHARED_BOUNDARIES clause. Adds a per-MATRIX guard (output-styles-i18n-matrix.test.ts). Every existing test is per-style, which is how less-code stayed English-only since the 9router port without anyone noticing. The guard fails on: a new style without pt-BR, a style losing a translation it had, a translation missing an intensity level, a translation that dropped the boundaries clause, and a stale KNOWN_ENGLISH_ONLY entry. Proven by mutation, not just by passing: dropping less-code from the allowlist and renaming the vi key both turned it red with the expected messages. less-code stays English-only as declared debt (KNOWN_ENGLISH_ONLY + comment); the remaining coverage work is tracked in #10426. |

feat(sse): add i-have-adhd output style to compression catalog (#10271)
Adds `i-have-adhd` as the 5th entry in OUTPUT_STYLE_CATALOG — a port of the github.com/ayghri/i-have-adhd skill (MIT), following the same integration shape as ponytail. Action-first output shaping: the next action leads, multi-step work is numbered, no preamble/recap/closers — which also trims output tokens. lite/full/ultra levels in en + pt-BR, each ending in SHARED_BOUNDARIES so code, paths, commands, errors and URLs stay verbatim. The agent-harness-specific upstream rules (restate plan state, time estimates) are reworded as conditionals so they hold for plain chat clients too. Per the D-A1 registry contract, one catalog entry is the whole change: the injector, the settings panel, the Zod schema and the telemetry all enumerate the catalog, so no other production file moves. Dedicated test mirrors ponytail-catalog.test.ts (7 tests). |

maint: final follow-up cherry-pick #9619 (#9901)
* fix(quality): clears two release/v3.8.50 base-red gates Unblocks Merge integrity and Docs Gates for every PR against release/v3.8.50, not just this branch: - changelog.d/features/9415-newapi-sub2api-aggregator-balance.md had a non-standard YAML frontmatter header that no other fragment in the tree uses. check-changelog-integrity.mjs reads a fragment's first non-blank line to validate it starts with a markdown bullet; the frontmatter's leading `---` made that check fail regardless of the actual bullet content further down. Removed the frontmatter and reformatted the body to match the documented changelog.d/README.md bullet convention. - docs/ops/VM_DEPLOYMENT_GUIDE.md documented OMNIROUTE_MAX_POOL_SIZE and OMNIROUTE_DB_POOL_SIZE as tunable env vars, but neither is read anywhere in the codebase (confirmed via full-repo grep) — this repo uses SQLite, which has no connection-pool concept these vars could plausibly control. check:fabricated-docs --strict correctly flags fabricated env-var claims; removed the bullet rather than implementing a feature to match invented documentation. * fix(i18n): completes Vietnamese parity, fixes empty migration query Two more release/v3.8.50 base-red items, both surfaced while chasing CI failures on unrelated PRs: - vi.json was missing 8 keys that #9539 (NewAPI/Sub2API aggregator balance) added to en.json without a matching i18n:sync-ui run — pt-BR.json already had all 8, only Vietnamese drifted. Added translations for the 6 provider-settings strings, the feature-flag description, and the quota tooltip; verified against tests/unit/i18n-vi-completeness.test.ts (parity, placeholder preservation, ICU parse — all 5 assertions pass). - src/lib/db/migrations/120_interception_rules.sql was pure comments documenting a no-schema-change key_value namespace, with no executable SQL statement — the migration runner logged "FAILED: 120_interception_rules — Query contained no valid SQL statement" on every fresh DB init. 118_provider_param_filters.sql (same pattern, two migrations earlier) already ends with a bare `SELECT 1;` no-op for exactly this reason; 120 was just missing it. Verified directly against better-sqlite3 that the file now executes without error. * fix(types): clears 6 pre-existing release/v3.8.50 typecheck errors typecheck:core is its own blocking CI job (quality.yml), separate from Docs Gates/Merge integrity. Confirmed pre-existing and unrelated to any current work by branching this worktree directly from upstream/release/v3.8.50 with no other merges applied. - accountSemaphore.ts: isBypassed() already excludes null/<=0 maxConcurrency before ensureGate() is called, but a boolean- returning helper isn't a type predicate TS can narrow through. Added a targeted `as number` at the one call site, with a comment explaining why it's safe. - combo/comboStructure.ts: two module-scope `const HARD_COMPAT_REASONS` declarations with different values — a genuine "can't redeclare" compile error, not a narrowing gap. The first (4-item set including "output_tokens") had zero usages between its own declaration and the second; the second (3-item set, matching the CompatFilterOptions doc comment exactly) is what hasHardCapabilityFailure/ describeCapabilityFilterExhaustion/the third call site all actually use. Removed the dead first declaration. - combo/comboStructure.ts + combo/fusionPanel.ts: both accessed `.prompt`/`.model` on a `ComboModelStep | ComboProviderWildcardStep` union after only excluding `combo-ref`, but `ComboProviderWildcardStep` has neither field — a real latent bug (fusionPanel would have pushed `undefined` into a fusion panel for a wildcard step). Narrowed to `step.kind === "model"` in comboStructure, and switched to the already-existing `getComboModelString()` helper in fusionPanel (which correctly resolves to null for unsupported step kinds, mirroring how combo-ref is already skipped there). Verified directly via a standalone script exercising both branches (wildcard vs. model step). - combo/quotaStrategies.ts: imported `preferAntigravityConnectionsWithStoredProject` from a module that never existed (`../antigravityProjectPersistence.ts`, distinct from the real `antigravityProjectPersist.ts`) — the function itself was referenced nowhere else in the codebase. Wrote the missing implementation: prefers Antigravity connections with a discovered `projectId` for reset-aware routing, failing open to the full list when none have one yet (per the file's own "Exclude... from reset-aware pool" changelog note, softened to a preference — strict exclusion would empty the pool entirely for a fleet of freshly-added accounts). Verified directly via a standalone script. - compression/engines/ccr/index.ts: `enforceGlobalBudget(owner, bytes)` was called with only `bytes` at one of its two call sites, missing the `owner` argument the other call site (and the function's own doc comment on preferring the calling principal's LRU eviction) already uses correctly. Added the missing `entry.principalId` argument. - firecrawlQuotaFetcher.ts: `fetchFirecrawlQuota` was annotated to return `Promise<QuotaInfo | null>` but every return path constructs a `FirecrawlQuota` (QuotaInfo extended with remainingCredits/planCredits/ extraCreditsInferred/overPlan) — the type the file already defines and the type `parseFirecrawlCreditUsage` already correctly returns. Widened the annotation to match; `FirecrawlQuota extends QuotaInfo` so this stays compatible with the `QuotaFetcher` contract. npm run typecheck:core and npm run check:dashboard-typecheck both pass cleanly. A subset of DB-backed tests in this area also fail, but 100% attributably to an already-tracked, unrelated migration version collision (134 -> [ccr_blocks, proxy_logs_egress_ip], see _tasks/features-v3.8.4/9route/POST-MERGE-AUDIT.md) — confirmed by every failure's stack trace bottoming out at that exact error, not at anything touched here. * fix(sse): update stale ALL_ACCOUNTS_INACTIVE test assertions to ALL_TARGETS_SKIPPED Two combo-routing-engine.test.ts cases assert the pre-dispatch-skip scenario (isModelAvailable always false, zero dispatch attempts) returns ALL_ACCOUNTS_INACTIVE. Production code already distinguishes this case via the recordedAttempts === 0 branch and returns the more precise ALL_TARGETS_SKIPPED -- the tests were never updated when that branch shipped upstream, so they fail on a clean release/v3.8.50 checkout independent of this PR's changes. * fix(sse): update second stale ALL_ACCOUNTS_INACTIVE assertion (T24) Same pre-existing upstream test-drift as |

fix(ci): clear the 08-08 base-red layers — dead-code, prod crash in chat.ts, Responses payload regression, born-red stdio test, gate drifts (#9757)
* fix(ci): drop unused RadarReferrals type export — dead-code ratchet back to 227 baseline The radar referral-links feature (#9697) exported the inferred type RadarReferrals from feedSchema.ts but nothing imports it (the singular RadarReferral is the consumed type). knip counts it as a new dead export, pushing the dead-code ratchet to 228 > 227 and failing Fast Quality Gates on every PR born after the merge. RadarReferralsSchema itself stays — it is used by RadarFeedSchema. Refs #9737 * fix(ci): clear the 08-08 base-red layer — prod crash in chat.ts, Responses API payload regression, born-red stdio test, gate drifts Six independent base-reds from the 08-07 evening merge batch, each verified against the pure release/v3.8.50 tip: - src/sse/handlers/chat.ts: #9467's squash carried a refactor hunk that renamed the all-rate-limited breaker guard to an UNDEFINED variable (isAllRateLimited) — a production ReferenceError on the all-accounts-429 path (chat.ts is outside typecheck:core scope, so only tests caught it). Restore credentials?.allRateLimited. Guard: chat-rate-limit-body-lock (2/2), also un-breaks batch_api and chat-combo-live-test. - open-sse/utils/stream.ts: #9315 switched providerPayload summaries to the accumulated responseBody, but in passthrough paths that body is synthesized in chat-completion shape — Responses API lost its `response` object in the dashboard payload. Keep the events-derived summary for OPENAI_RESPONSES only. Guard: stream-utils + stream-collector-9315 suites (51/51). - tests/unit/mcp-stdio-json-purity.test.ts: born red — the full CLI chain takes ~10s (2x tsx import + DB init) and the test slept a fixed 4s. Poll for the first stdout line with a 60s deadline instead. - tests/unit/plugins-route-error-sanitization.test.ts: register #9445's new marketplace/install route in PLUGIN_ROUTES (route already sanitizes) (33/33). - tests/unit/provider-models-route-codex.test.ts: realign pinned GPT-5.6 input limit to #9432's deliberate 272000→922000 bump (7/7). - lint: fix 11 no-explicit-any errors in repro-9630 + specialty-9293 tests, prune 1 orphaned suppression, allowlist the opencode-ai devDependency (#8869, publisher-verified), and reword a doc line the fabricated-docs gate misread as an env var. Gates re-verified locally: lint:json --max-warnings 0 exit 0, dead-code 227, typecheck:core clean, check:deps OK, check:fabricated-docs OK. Refs #9737 * fix(ci): clear the third 08-08 base-red layer — invalid ru rule pack, stale event pin, orphaned UI repro test, pack/mutation/file-size drifts Follow-up to the previous layer: the serial fast-gates chain unmasked one more stratum after file-size/dead-code went green, all verified against the merged release/v3.8.50 tip: - compression rules ru/ultra.json (#9581): two rules shipped minIntensity "notes", which is not a valid CavemanIntensity (lite|full|ultra) — loading ANY language pack list threw and killed the rtk-loader suite. Mapped both to "ultra" (they are the most aggressive punctuation/case rules, matching the en pack tiers). 2/2. - plugins-welcome-banner-e2e: #9668 added the onStreamComplete builtin event (real emission path via runOnStreamCompleteHooks) and missed this pinned-list sibling. 35/35. - tests/unit/free-pool-frontend-repro (#9046): landed as .tsx with node:test semantics — no runner collects tests/unit/*.tsx, so it NEVER ran (test-discovery NEW-orphan). It contains zero JSX; renamed to .test.ts so the unit runner's existing glob collects it. 5/5 (first real run). - pack-policy: allow + require bin/mcpStdioConsoleGuard.mjs (#9281) — it is preloaded via node --import by bin/mcp-server.mjs, so a published artifact without it crashes 'omniroute --mcp' at startup. - stryker.conf.json: add 5 covering unit tests from the batch (#8779/#9204/ #9330/#9630/openrouter-passthrough) to tap.testFiles (--strict drift). - file-size-baseline: consolidate the base-drift rebaseline for the 12 files grown by the 08-06..08-08 batches (#9616's entries never reached the base; measured on this branch's tree — this PR's own source edits add zero lines to any frozen file). Local battery: file-size/deps/test-discovery/mutation/pack-policy/dead-code/ duplication/docs-all/secrets/vuln/workflows ratchets all exit 0; full lint gate --max-warnings 0 exit 0. Refs #9737 * fix(types): clear the 3 uncovered open-sse-typecheck regressions + realign combo skip-code siblings Fourth base-red layer unmasked by the serial gates. The other 4 typecheck regressions (codex.ts, kiro.ts, tierResolver.test.ts, translator/index.ts) already have dedicated open [TS7] PRs (#9748/#9753/#9742/#9747) — not duplicated here. This commit covers only what no open PR owns: - devin-agentic/serializer.ts TS2367: drop the dead 'role === "system"' branch — the guard above already narrows role to user|assistant (system throws unsupported_role). Devin suites 104/104. - raycast.ts TS2416: the buildHeaders 'override' never matched the base signature (2nd param is the signed payload string, not the stream boolean) — renamed to a private buildRaycastRequestHeaders helper so a polymorphic buildHeaders(credentials, true) call can never bind here. - modelMetadataRegistry.ts TS2352: PricingByProvider → nested-record cast now goes through unknown (shape is runtime-guarded by findInsensitive). - combo-routing-engine.test.ts: realign 2 pre-dispatch-skip expectations to #9630's deliberate ALL_TARGETS_SKIPPED contract (87/87). Refs #9737 * fix(ci): clear the fifth 08-08 base-red layer — reasoning-placeholder contract sweep, GPT-5.6 limits sweep, vi key parity The 08-08 merges (#9610 reasoning replay, #9432 GPT-5.6 limits, #9630 combo skip codes, #9336 provider key links) each changed a contract and left sibling tests pinning the old one. Full grep sweep per contract, not just the shard that happened to go red: - reasoning placeholder (#9573/#9610): the fix DELIBERATELY removed NON_ANTHROPIC_THINKING_PLACEHOLDER injection on cache miss — the model echoed the placeholder as its own reasoning (empty stop) and re-poisoned cache + client history; DeepSeek's 400 is specific to an EMPTY STRING, not an absent field. Realigned reasoning-cache (2 cases, renamed to describe omission) + tool-request-sanitization (1 case + dead import). 60/60. - GPT-5.6 Codex limits (#9432, 272000 -> 1050000 ctx / 922000 input): realigned vscode-token-routes-gpt56 (2) + vscode-token-routes (3). 43/43 together with t23-t24. - combo skip codes (#9630): t23-t24-fallback-resilience T24 now expects ALL_TARGETS_SKIPPED like the combo-routing-engine siblings. - vi.json key parity: #9336 added providers.getApiKey/getApiKeyDescription to en.json without syncing vi (the only locale with a parity gate). Translated both; providers block reordered to match en key order. 5/5. - pack-artifact-policy.test.ts: sibling of this PR's own required-paths change (bin/mcpStdioConsoleGuard.mjs). 10/10. - combo-routing-engine.test.ts: dropped the 6 comment lines added in the previous commit so the frozen test file-size stays at its baseline (the rationale lives in that commit message, not the test body). Gates: file-size, test-discovery, mutation-test-coverage, pack-policy, open-sse-typecheck, dead-code all exit 0. Refs #9737 * fix(translator): keep the reasoning_content placeholder for Xiaomi MiMo — #9610 traded one live 400 for another The xiaomi-mimo replay test (9router#1321) went red on the base after #9610 removed the NON_ANTHROPIC_THINKING_PLACEHOLDER injection globally. That test is NOT stale — it guards a documented upstream 400 ('Param Incorrect: The reasoning_content in the thinking mode must be passed back to the API'), so realigning it would have masked a reintroduced production bug. Two real bugs conflict here: - #9573: forwarding the placeholder makes the model continue its chain of thought FROM that text (echo -> empty stop) and re-poisons cache/history. - 9router#1321/#1337: omitting reasoning_content on a plain replay turn makes Xiaomi MiMo reject the request outright. #9610's evidence for omitting is provider-specific — it verified that deepseek-v4-flash accepts an ABSENT field. It does not extend to MiMo. So the omission stays for every provider #9610 covered, and the placeholder survives the cache miss only for xiaomi-mimo (new requiresReasoningContentPresence predicate next to isReasoningOnlyReplayTarget). The echo that comes back is still stripped on the way in by isInternalReasoningPlaceholder(), so #9573's cache/history poisoning stays fixed for MiMo too. Both contracts now hold simultaneously: xiaomi-mimo replay + reasoning-cache + tool-request-sanitization 61/61; placeholder-strip/responses/translator/combo regression sweep 168/168. Gates: file-size, open-sse-typecheck, dead-code, mutation-test-coverage exit 0; typecheck:core clean. A live check on the VPS (Hard Rule #18 path 2) is the only way to confirm the DeepSeek half of #9610's empirical claim; flagging it in the PR rather than widening this fix on speculation. Refs #9737 * test(translator): pin the reasoning-placeholder provider scope so neither half of the conflict can silently re-break #9610 removed the placeholder globally on the strength of ONE provider's observed behavior (deepseek-v4-flash accepting an absent reasoning_content), which re-opened the MiMo 400 (9router#1321). The previous commit scoped the placeholder to xiaomi-mimo; this pins BOTH directions in one test so the next global edit fails loudly instead of trading the bugs again: - xiaomi-mimo plain replay turn, cache miss -> reasoning_content present (narrowing the scope away from MiMo re-opens 9router#1321) - deepseek plain replay turn, cache miss -> reasoning_content absent (widening it back to DeepSeek re-opens the #9573 echo bug) Guard verified by mutation: forcing requiresReasoningContentPresence() to return true makes the DeepSeek half fail (1 pass / 1 fail), and the file was restored from the pre-probe copy before committing. Also checked kimi-coding/kimi-coding-apikey, the other strict-contract entries in REASONING_REPLAY_PROVIDERS: their originating PR (#7673) fixes capture and replay of REAL reasoning and documents no 400 on an absent field, so they stay out of the placeholder scope — evidence-scoped, not speculatively widened. Reasoning suites together: 87/87. Gates: file-size, test-discovery, mutation-test-coverage, dead-code exit 0; eslint clean. fix(ci): clear the NEW base-reds from the 08-06 merge batch (migration collision #2 + broken import) (#9688)
* test(base): realign six suites with contracts that #9100/#8990/#9009 deliberately changed Continuing the base-red drain — every one of these reproduces on the pure tip. - tests/snapshots/provider/translate-path.json: regenerated via UPDATE_GOLDEN=1. The diff is ADDITION-ONLY — the unorouter block from #9009; no existing provider entry changed. 3/3. - tests/unit/provider-models-route.test.ts: |
